A much smaller brother to the central library which really isn’t that far away this library is notable because the building is a stunning feature. There are a few surprises when you come into this area of the city, things start to get a bit run down and slightly shady looking then the odd Victorian master piece rears its head from the surrounding decay or mundane new-build. Tucked away from the road I stumbled upon the library whilst getting lost around Leeds. It is octagonal(maybe, although I didn’t count the exact number of sides) in shape and quite unusual. A musty smell fills the air inside and quiet staff scurry around. This is a place to relax and escape the madness of the shopping centre and busy road outside and may be get a book.
