Enjoyed a pint or two of very fine local beers, in pleasant company and served by staff who still remember how to smile. On both occassions that I’ve been to Lazy Lounge it has been for a function but I have had a chance to sample both the food and the drink and I pronounce them rather fine. I like that the upstairs allows groups to have a bit of space to do their thang

Went to look at a flat in the building where this place is located… and found this hidden gem! Really cool relaxed place with great beers and wines. I will definitely come back here and try the food it looks really good!

After having come here once before due to Unilocal,I came back impressed and arranged my leaving do and was quite surprised at the warmth of the staff and the manager who is a gem to speak to. He gave us a really good time and even though the place was absolutely jam packed, all the staff stepped up to the mark and ensured every one was served perfectly much to my delight as I was worried that I would be busy meeting people that I wont be able to track if everyone was helped.

I come in here at least one a month with the Northern Bloggers and love it more and more every time. The atmosphere in here is superb, very relaxed and classy. The furniture is stunning — plush big chesterfields, a grand piano in the middle of the room and tables made out of huge wooden barrels. Just awesome. Lazy has a great selection of local beers and real ales. When I was last in here I was quite skint so I got the cheapest thing on the menu, a Coronation Chicken Sandwich. For £4 you got a lovely plump sandwich with fresh salad, new potatoes and tangy nachos. Absolute bargain! I love the staff here too, they are so friendly and attentive without being in your face. My friend was in town looking for smart workclothes and the waitress recommended some great places for us to check out. Big thumbs up to this place, the perfect pit stop for when you’ve just got off the train!

I hadn’t heard of this place before the Unilocal event i atended there, but i will definately be going back. A nice small to medium sized venue with a very good choice of beers and an excellent menu. which should all go to the star rating, but they get the extra star just for the friendliness of the staff, from the person taking time to explain about the ‘Krusovice’ royal Czech beer, to the general nice chatty nature of anyone i spoke to. Also when we were finishing off and they were trying to close up, they didn’t hurry us up at all, just let us finish our beers without hassle. I found the environment relaxing and welcoming. Go and try it out!

I do like this place. The food is so good and a good variety of choice. Been for lunch on work days a few times and you feel nice and relaxed as though it is the weekend but you’re always back on time(good service). The wine is super nice and they have a good variety of drinks on offer. this place is great for lunch, dinner, drinks — after work or weekend and I have been as a spot with my mum and friends — small and large groups. Basically you can always go here so try it. :)

My wife and I went here on a Groupon deal — £15 for two main courses and a glass of wine each! It was super cheap. The place is lovely inside — it has a homey feel and the surroundings are on the more salubrious side for an eatery. Upon entering it isn’t clear at all where you should go for service and despite waiting at the bar it took a good 5mins for anyone to speak to me. When I went(6pm) it wasn’t busy so there seemed to be no reason for the very slow service. First impressions were poor. The food was excellent! I had a burger with the HUGE chips and my wife had the steak. Both were cooked and presented really well and both were as tasty as they looked. The house red was average but severed at the proper temperature(so often not the case). Portion sizes were on the generous side and more than enough to fill us up. Although we were on the deal we did have a look at the prices and found them to be super reasonable given the quality of the food.

Have been in here a few times now, not because I’m an alcoholic, but because it’s actually on the ground floor of my building(honest, that really is the reason) and I can’t think of anything that they could do to make it better. They do quite a range of beers, and some brilliant events including beer/spirits/liqueur tastings. I took a group of people there & enjoyed an evening of ‘Fish & Fizz’ which was very reasonably priced. This last time that I was there we actually went for a meal, an I have to say how scrummy it all was — it’s not an extensive menu of options, but there’s certainly more than enough and the portions are huge — I rarely leave anything on my plate but even I couldn’t finish it all!

I’ve been meaning to go to Lazy Lounge for ages but never got around to going. When I saw a deal for a winetasting for 2 with cheeseboard I figured it was time to make my move! Lazy Lounge is a few minutes walk from the back of the train station and is underneath an apartment block. This is a lovely bar /lounge and is a great place for young(& not so young) professionals and anyone who likes great food, great wine, great cocktails, great music, great service and a great atmosphere. My friend and I had a really good winetasting last week. Our sommelier was knowledgeable, fun and just happened to be one of the joint owners /managers. We tasted 3 whites and 3 reds including one of the nicest malbecs i’ve had. The cheeseboard was also lovely and I tried(and loved) brie for the first time. Now to the food. I could go on about the food here for the longest time, but I won’t. Let me just say that last week I had the lazy gourmet burget and my friend and I went back AGAIN this week and took someone else with us. We all had the lazy gourmet burger. This is burger heaven — seriously. It had meat, bacon, cheese, onion rings, salad(i think) and came served with homemade chips, yes CHIPS — WHOOP!, coleslaw, and some caramelised red onion. This is seriously good food. We were too full to move for a while but that didnlt stop us getting jealous when we saw the table next to us having the fish and chips! There is nothing negative that I can say about Lazy Lounge but for those who find it hard to believe a review unless it has something negative, let me say that the cheese sauce(served seperately to accompany the burger) wasnt necessary. That’s all. Needless to say i’ll be going back. Just hope I can hold out until next week!

This is kind of a swanky bar/lounge for young professionals to come after work, and it’s a good date place. I like the décor and really enjoy some of their more gastro-nibbles(hint: anything with goat cheese is bound to be good here). As long as you can get over the not-always-subtle pretension(is that the bar’s fault, or just some of the patrons?), it’s a fun place to be.

The location of Lazy Lounge ensures that the crowd is a young and vibrant one. Situated on the ground floor of a fairly new apartment block, the surrounding area is a hotbed of redevelopment, and is already taking shape as an exciting area of Leeds city centre. Although I do love tasting wine and experimenting with new varieties, I generally despise the atmosphere of wine bars. In my experience, the pretentiousness of them seems to be overwhelming. I think Lazy Lounge avoids this pitfall admirably. Their passion for wine is evident not only due to the extensive menu, but also through wine tasting events they offer at the venue. The evenings exhibit various tipples from one particular country and with Australia and Spain on the horizon, I feel a visit is imminent. The food I have sampled at Lazy Lounge has been perfectly pleasant. Full meals are on offer, although I have mainly tried the bar snacks and sharing platters — ideal for social grazing. I used to live in close proximity to Lazy Lounge and it often proved to be a convenient and enjoyable meeting place for friends. The slate flooring, contemporary furniture and sweeping staircase creates a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

Situated by the huge West Point accomodation block Lazy Lounge is perfect for relaxing in after work. The surrounding offices mean it’s also a popular choice with local business people so expect to see it busy between 5−7pm most nights. They offer a fair selection of drinks at reasonable prices — with a few exceptions. The venue can be hired out for private parties or just the mezzanine floor above the bar. A relaxing bar with a nice atmosphere, one I recommend to those living or working in the area.
