Having given Pizza Connection several chances, with a different meal each time, they’ve absolutely had the last custom they’ll ever get from me. Each time I’ve paid a visit the staff have been ignorant, bordering on rude, often making you wait for service while they finish their conversation. Once you order, the food is quick to arrive but — on more occasions than one — suspiciously quick. My first order from Pizza Connection was a simple cheeseburger and fries, but the portion of fries barely filled the space in the box. I’m all for quality over quantity, but if you can’t do the former than at least offer the latter. Taking the name into consideration, myself and friends have ordered pizzas here. Not one of us was satisfied; the bases were soggy, the toppings overdone and the pizza as a whole tasted terrible and had a strange consistency. Being boys, we’ve also ordered kebabs, and I have never, ever encountered one so dripping in fat. By the time I walked the half a mile home, the bag i was carrying was full of a disgusting, translucent grease, which then leaked onto my shoes, jeans, coffee table and floor, due to the cheap bags. Sadly, just as much remained in the box, soaking into the food. My tongue is still coated, and the coffee table is covered in blotches of congealed white fat. Considering the number of takeaways in the area, I’m surprised these guys let their quality drop so unashamedly low. The prices don’t even reflect this — it’s one of the most expensive in the area that I’ve been to so far. Even directly opposite is a cheaper takeaway offering a very similar menu — consisting of great food, from what I’ve had so far — at much better prices and with much better attitude. Give this place a miss, unless you’re into expensive, disgusting grease served with a scowl.

Ok, I just want to say that if you use a well known online ordering place that advises you to «just eat» you’ll notice this place is also called«LUCKYWOK» and sells Chinese food as well as pizzas, curries and kebabs etc. That is where I’ll end this review and just say don’t «just eat» from here! If you want to know more check out my review of LUCKYWOK and all will become clear.

Pizza Connection has a better name than it’s neighbour, but in my opinion it doesn’t quite match up to Ranch in terms of food quality. Having said that, I’ve only ever had a small margherita from here, so perhaps I’m not in the best position to judge. It was a satisfactory pizza alright, if a little bit greasy, but it went down OK and filled a hole. The service just wasn’t a friendly or quick as it is next door, but they didn’t really do anything wrong, and I’m a nice guy, so they deserve at least three stars.
