Love, love, love this place. A pizza place, run by Italians with quite possibly the best pizzas in the UK. Fresh and delicious pizzas at reasonable prices. I can’t enthuse enough! Go and you will agree.

From the guys that brought you Luigi’s Italian. If we’ve been out for the day we phone our order through and pick it up as we’re nearing home. Simples! Would definitely recommend Rima, lovely food. You can now eat in too. One other recommendation, if you’re looking for guaranteed savings on your utilities and mobiles check out: —

Tips for people wanting to eat food from Rima, order your food to take away, you’ll feel better about it. Simple as that. The taste is lovely, and as Susan says, proper Italian fodder just tastes better when it’s done authentically, we don’t know why, it just is. Simple as that. And as Alex says, there’s a novelty about stopping by Rima on your way home from work or the pub or wherever, feeling a bit peckish and ordering a take out of spaghetti. Why is it so amusing. I’ve no idea, but it flippin’ is. It’s also cheap as chips. Well not really cheap as chips, well actually it is, I’ve paid £3 a portion for chips in some places that haven’t been filling so yeah I guess I was right the first time. Good strong coffee to go and an order of spag bol. Or if you’re in the pizza persuasion, pizza to go. Eating in is an option if you so choose, but it’s not the greatest place to eat in, and takes the shine off how good the food is if you actually stay.

A surprising novelty in Leeds, Rima is an Italian café and takeaway that’s actually run by Italians. While I’m not doubting the ability of other nationalities to make perfectly agreeable pizza and pasta dishes, there’s something in the crispiness of a pizza or the basily tang of a pasta sauce that seems so much better when it’s authentically made. Rima’s doesn’t offer the smartest or the nicest surroundings for an eat in meal, but the friendly and rather theatrical staff make good mealtime entertainment, and the takeaway menu is up there with some of the best.

Rima is kind of like Luigi’s(almost next door on New Road Side) little brother, and it specialises in Italian eats in a less formal, more quirky way. Offering a menu based around the three things Italian cuisine does best — pizza, pasta and coffee, Rima is open all day and night meaning it can be a good place to go for just a coffee, a snack, a quick lunch or a full blown evening meal. It’s more of a bar than a restaurant in terms of the formality, so if you are wanting an evening meal, it’s probably not the best place to go. Cheap and cheerful, Rima has many positive aspects, but the most pleasing of these is not the lovely outdoor decking area, nor the amply sized pizzas, or the authentic coffee, but the fact that you can get take-away spag bol.
