This church is famous for the Schluze organ that resides inside. Originally built and imported for the son of a wealthy businessman in 1866 which he had install in a purpose-built house in Meanwood. It was later moved to St Peter’s Church but due to the size of the church the sound wasn’t at it’s optimum, it was at this point that St Bartholomew’s snapped it up and to this day it has resided in the Church and is quite a famous landmark, so I thought I’d share it with you fellow Unilocalers.
