Nice chicken fast food. Staff quite friendly and quick. A bit expensive for what it is though.

I think Nandos have become over priced in the last 12 months. There I said it. It’s chicken in a sauce that only Nandos can cook and they cook it very well. The service is always good because they have a system that works. It’s the self service of a fast food restaurant mixed with the friendly elements of a sit down meal. I do wish people would stop pretending that Nandos is anything other than fast food. It’s McDonald’s with chicken but a hefty price tag. I wouldn’t mind paying this much but they don’t even tell you where the chicken is from. My guess is that even at these high prices for chicken it isn’t even free range.

There are a few Nandos restaurants in Leicester, and I think I have eaten in them all. This was my first and one of my best experiences. If you’re used to Nandos, you’ll already know that you can’t book tables or get table service. So as long as you are prepared to wait(a little longer at Granby Street because it is smack bang in town) then you’ll be fine. Feels like one of the darker Nandos stores, I think the décor changes with each outlet which I like because it keeps things fresh. Also does collection orders.

Nandos is excellent food, great value for money, great for families and groups of friends, veggie options available but best if a chicken lover. Different spice levels and even whole chickens can be done differently if sharing. refillable soft drinks are much needed to cool the mouth down if going for hot option. kids will love the bottomless frozen yougurts they can top up them selves. NHS staff remember show your id badge and get 20% off your meal.

Nandos is a chain restraunt that specialises in piri piri chicken which originated from Portuguese settlers in South Africa. Piri Piri basically means the coating on the chicken, you have a range of options from mild herbs to extra spicey options, I personally tend to like my sauces extra hot! The menu is almost exclusively chicken, though you can get side orders, chips, garlic bread and my favourite spicey rice! Nandos is like a cross between a restraunt and a fast-food joint. On the one hand, you are served meals on a plate, in traditional restraunt setting. However, ordering is more like at a fast food restraunt as a waiter/waitress does not take your order, you have to get up and order and pay for it from the counter. When the food is done it will then be brought over to your table. I have been here many times, I have never had to wait to long, even during busy periods. The prices are competitive, more than you would pay at a fast-food outlet, but cheaper than many restraunts. The food has always been of the highest quality and I have no cause for complain relating to the service. One thing I really like about Nandos, is that for £1.90 you can get unlimited refills on your soft drinks, which comes quite in handy if you like the extra spicey sauces, like me!

There is much to love about Nandos, and sadly quite a bit to dislike. Taking the negatives first it is really quite dear for what you get — especially when you can’t even order from your table, but have to go to the counter to do so, including during your meal if you need your drink refreshed. The food can be patchy, but when it is good, boy is it good! Basically it’s all about chicken here, served in different portion sizes, in different heat levels of peri peri spice. If you still can’t get it hot enough you can help yourself to giant bottles of sauce ranging right up to extra hot toothe hotter the better for me. The sides on offer are fries(with the option of peri peri seasoning — recommended), corn, and coleslaw. It’s not the place for a romantic night or anything, but if spicy chicken is your thing, you won’t go too far wrong.

I normally love nandos, but this one has a bit of a down market feel. Too many unruly children running riot, and not enough parental control. Other wise the normal Nandos experience — grilled chicken with sauce to your taste — form coriander & lemon to exxxtra spicey.

Nando’s is one of my favourite chicken restaurants. I love eating here. They have a level of how hot you like the food. I usually order chicken pitta and chips. The best thing that they do is the perinaise dip which is really nice. Its got a zingy flavour to it and dipping your chips in its makes it more heavenly. All the food is marinated in piri piri sauce making it nice and tasty but you can choose from Medium Spice, Hot spice all the way down to Lemon and Herb or the new Mango spice level. The restaurant itself is very clean and has enough tables. I went here for a party and the service was reasonable. When you come in, you are given a table and then you have to go to the till to make your order. It wasnt till 20 minutes after my order i recieved my food which was a little dissapointment but the food was so delicious it was worth the wait.

The concept is a. chicken and b. piri piri. You choose how spicey you would like your food(including a minimal lemon and garlic option which I must admit is my choice). There are many options which can be shared — like a whole chicken and also numerous sauces available to pep it up if you’re not satisfying with the mouth numbing spiciness of the hottest option! Waiters/Waitresses don’t serve the table directly — you’ll be seated and then have to go and queue to place your order. This can be a pain, especially when it’s busy, as one of your party can literally be gone in the queue for like 20 minutes! It’s quite a flexible place though, fine to take friends or family of all ages, and I’ve never had cause to complain at the food quality.

Nandos is a fairly nice place. When you get there you are seated and given the menu. Most of their food is chicken based, you know things like ¼ chicken, chicken wings etc. You can either have them plain, in a burger or in a pitta breat which i think is rare to find. The thing i liked is that you pay for the item e.g. a chicken burger and then a side order. DOing this you can have a variety of items like garlic bread, chips and a few other things which is good judging that when you go to most places you get something and chips and you do get fed up with chips. From there you get up and go to the till and order what you want, whats good is that you can order it at different levels of hotness which is good. You also get bottemless glasses of soft drinks which is also a good thing. The food arrived fairly quickly, however my major gripes stared here, i found that the food was a bit cold and they were fairly stingy on the sauces. However there were many sauces on the table, again ranging in hotness. There were some nice desserts, like a lemon style crumble and other thngs were were nice. As stated before the cons were the food came a bit cold and they were stingy on sauces, also the portion could have been a bit bigger and the lighting could have been better lol, it was incredibly dark in that place.
