MY husband and I came across this restaurant while looking for a place to eat in Leicester. We don’t know the city that well as we own a buy-to-let flat there and just vist occasionally when doing the place up in between tenants. The external branding initially drew us in. Every food shop front in Leicester seems to be sporting the Piri Piri brand these days, but this restaurant had nice booths to sit in and gave the impression of being a cut above the usual chicken take away. Our first impressions were definitely proven right in this case. The menu is of course all chicken. It has a variety of different chicken options, such as wraps and burgers in addition to the Nando’s style half chicken with sides. The thing I liked most about it is that it has ambition beyond Nandos. The chicken in all the guises I tasted was incredible tender, the flavours delicious. A favourite for me(we ate here several times over the course of 4 days!) was the Lebanese chicken wrap. It seemed to be a favourite place for Leicester’s middle eastern community, presumably as their meat is halal. The restaurant was clean, the food tasted fresh and the staff were really friendly. On our first visit, we were even given a few free chicken wings to taste. I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you live in Leicester.
