The Wheatsheaf Hotel

This is not a pub I like to go in although it is 2 mins from where I live, I think it is a bit rough and full of locals who are a bit clicky nice people but if you dont go in regularily you can feel a little uncomfortable, last time I went in it was full of 16 year olds and I felt about 90 but it is a nice place for the younger ones to meet, there is not much for the teenagers to do in Leigh.
On the plus side it has now changed hands and it has improved quite a lot, they have an excellent singer or band on at the weekend and it is free to go in, the drinks are very reasonably priced and the barstaff are very friendly. although it is not my type of pub it is always packed at the weekends when the entertainment is on.

A pub like any other really, full of the locals (who seem to be a little crazy but lovely), theres a great atmosphere and the people who run it are really sound too. Its another good venue for live music, it normally attracts a great audience. I had a really enjoyable night at this pub and would say its a great place to come to get out of the city.
