Popped in here the other day after work, and ordered myself a regular chips. Despite only being £1.40 for the bag, the portion was huge — it could easily have fed two people, and I had to throw a few away at the end because I just couldn’t finish it. The chips were crispy, fluffy and not at all greasy, and were also very fresh and incredibly hot, which made eating a pain — I wanted them right away given how good they were!
My only tiny criticism is that, despite going in at 6.30pm, I had to wait a little while for my chips to be cooke. I was surprised that, in the beginning of the evening rush, they hadn’t started turning over batches to be picked up when people wanted them, but at the same time, I suppose that meant they were all the fresher after the wait.
Next time, I’ll give the fried chicken or the battered sausages a go!
