Newly opened in Leyton, lovely small ‘scottish’ café selling breakfast dishes, soup, salads and cakes. The toastie is king, their signature being ‘The Macbeth’, a hot haggis (yes haggis!!!), cheddar, caramelised onions & rocket toastie. This was the first time I had ever eaten haggis and after wolfing down ‘The Macbeth’ I wanted more, complimenting the haggis was the caramelised onions giving the toastie a gentle sweetness. Highly recommended. There are other food options such as ‘The Lady Macbeth’ (veg option) if you don’t like the idea of haggis but you would definitely be missing out.
