Dim Sum is my favourite food so when I came across Panda on Leytonstone High St I was very excited to try it out. The restaurant is compact but comfortable and the staff are very obliging. The menu is suitably extensive for a lot of tastes ranging from steamed and fried dim sum to noodles and soups. Favouring Dim Sum I tried the pork, beef and chicken fried dim sum and the steamed Char Sui and they were all delicious. My friends tried the salads and noodles and they were happy with theirs though we all agreed we’d somewhat over ordered. I’d recommend ordering two/three dishes and then topping up later if you’re still hungry as everything arrived pretty quickly. I found some of the veg dishes missed the mark a little, I tried the ‘Chinese broccoli’ which at £8 was an unusually expensive serving of broccoli, and it was pretty tasteless and sopping. That being said the main attraction is the dim sum and the added joy of it being BYOB! Id also recommend a reservation during the later parts of the week!
