Cafe De Pearl Chinese Restaurant

Café de Pearl is a great Chinese restaurant on Bold Street, formerly known as The Tea House.
I’ve been coming here for years and have always been very, very, impressed with the price and the quantity. The food is very tasty and you get a huge portion for your money, you certainly don’t leave hungry! They do a very nice Chow Mein and also lovely Satay dishes. It’s not high-​end, it’s more like an exceptionally good café.
The main thing I come here for now though, is indicated in the new name: Bubble Tea! Yes, this place sells that favourite from all over Asia. It’s so great to finally have a place here that sells this, as it’s absolutely delicious. I could drink Bubble Tea all day! If you don’t know, it is a cold tea drink (different varities available) with tapioca pearls sat in the bottom. You drink through a big straw and chew on the pearls as they come up. It’s such a great texture and taste combination. My favourite is the Matcha Green Tea flavour.
Overall this is a fantastic place to grab a big, quick, bite to eat or even just for your Bubble Tea fix. Make sure to check this out!
