Nothing special… On entering the restaurant, I find it could be charming were it not for the cheap plastic table cloths. The food was uninspiring, bland and the quality generally poor. The pizza used cheap cheese and the veg seemed limp and lifeless, almost as if it were old. The dough, however, I cannot complement enough, it was lovely in both the starter and main pizza. Also the Tiramisu received high praise from my dining partner. The staff overall seemed disinterested and service was average at best(something I had been forewarned of). Overall, I feel the price I paid did not reflect the dining experience. In future, I shall be frequenting Pizza Express over the road…

I often call in on wednesday with my little girls and the service is always prompt but with personality and friendliness. The food is nice without being pretentious and the prices reflect this. In all it is a pleasent experience i would recomend.

Very busy, waiters rushing you to finish food, plates, glasses removed as you finished it. Won’t be going back, queues waiting, even on a Wednesday night. Don’t know why food was nothing to go back for.

The waitors in this restaurant are wonderful. I ever never seen that kind waitors. Also completely wonderful pasta. Positive and calming, charming atmosphere. All things are perfect. The greatest Italian restaurant in the Liverpool

After a disappointing, overpriced chain experience at Carluccio’s Liverpool One several months ago, we passed a bustling Casa Italia on our way home and made a mental note to give this one a try the next time we had a hankering for Italian comfort food. We’re glad we did. My large glass of house red was nothing to write home about, but also refreshingly inexpensive. The girlfriend’s spaghetti bolognese lacked in the taste department, but my pizza with pepperoni, salami and(a necessary addition) anchovies more than atoned for this. The tiramisu we shared was somewhat above average. Casa Italia’s warm and inviting interior, complete with chequered tablecloths, is a welcome contrast to the cold, uninspired likes of Carluccio’s or Jamie’s Italian. The place was very busy during our visit, but we never felt rushed or neglected by the serving staff. Even if the food is nothing special, Casa Italia made for an affordable, relaxing time out. This one will be on our short list the next time we’re too lazy to cook.

Certainly has a genuinely Spanish or perhaps Catalan feel to it, maybe thanks to all the lads from Spain we’ve imported to play for Liverpool. Food was pretty decent but expected it to be a bit better with the Egon Ronay sticker in the window. Decent prices though, Fungi Pizza was pretty tasty.

Casa Italia — well there isn’t a lot of ‘Italia’ about it if I’m honest, you are probably more likely to find an authentic Italian meal in your freezer in your own ‘Casa’. The staff don’t speak a work of Italian, but they are mainly foreign so there attempts at being an Italian Stallion can pay off on some of the less sharp customers. Now I’ve given it a little bit of a bashing I’ll try and be a bit nicer about the place. If you’re after somewhere you can go as a family, which is cheap but cheerful, this is definitely the place to be. The food isn’t great(or Italian), the staff aren’t great(or Italian), but the décor of the restaurant and the coffee after dinner is lovely(but again, not Italian!).

I’ve eaten in Casa Italia a handful of times and have always enjoyed the combination of authetic Italian food being served with a Scouse accent. Completely unpretentious, it’s generous portions and high quality taste are reflected by the queues that form out of the doors at prime times. The dishes are fairly simple but completely effective at conquering hunger from a long day at the shops! Casa Italia also provides an atmosphere suitable for a large party or a couple. The noise could be considered loud due to the close proximity of the seats and tables, it is however, a friendly place for a dependable and an authentic meal out for an acceptable cost in terms of drinks and the food. The garlic bread starter is a personal favourite and recommendable!
