What I like about Chung Lok is that it doesn’t pretend to be something its not. Yes the sunday buffet lunchis all you can eat at under £8. Yes after lunch its only £8.99. Yes they have a takeout menu. It really is a case of if you took your favourite Chinese takeaway, extended it to include a buffet serving all your favourite dishes, and hey presto, you have Chung Lok.
It is slightly further away from the centre than the other Chinese options, but whta the heck. Simple and uncomplicated, while not everyone’s cup of tea, Chung Lok exists and must be tried if you are starving and don’t have the dough to splash out to gorgeo yourself.
