Costa Coffee

After a terrible experience at Marriott, I just wanted to pick up a bag of crisps and a drink, for the journey home. This is quite a nice store, on the corner of one of the ends of Liverpool ONE.
I ordered a Hot Spiced Apple and some Tyrell’s crisps, with their GF Basil and Chicken wrap being out of stock. I feel the drink was a little watery, but still a fantastic flavoured tea. I feel the crisps were a little brand but still did taste okay. If I remember correctly they were only 95p so that wasn’t that bad, however I would recommended the Cider vinegar flavour.
Despite my drink being made to go, they still put in the cinnamon stick (and pieces of apple?), and it still tasted quite nice.
I tried to scan my Costa Card application but I received or spent no points, I asked to not spend my points but not until I got out of the store, did I realise that they had not added my points on, I know I visited at a later time of night when they could of been winding down, due to closing at 8 but for a big coffee firm like Costa, that is unacceptable, especially to not seem to care what receipt I got. Due to so many being left behind, I ended up getting one for a totally different order.
Because of the points difficulty, the lack of stock of Gluten Free items both savoury and sweet and the staff not looking like they care what recipt I get, I can only give 3 stars.

Costa is one of UK’s biggest coffeehouse chains, next to Starbucks, and prides themselves in making «the perfect cup» in «four M’s » 1-Miscela=Blend, 2-​Macinatura=
Grind, 3– Macchina: =Machine and 4. Manna-​Hand.
I stopped in for coffee, which was o.k., I was more into my hot panini & Tyrell’s hand cooked English crisps!

Don’t let the rainbow façade outside Costa Coffee fool you.
There’s no Jefferson Airplane on the stereo.
There’s no CND symbols or flowers on the wall.
There’s no books or magazines on 60s liberation and 70s counter culture on the coffee tables.
& there’s definitely no free love between the staff and customers.
All you’ll find is long queues and disgruntled shoppers in need of another expensive iced-​frappé.

There is always something horribly sterile about Costa Coffee. It’s interior always seems plastic and fake and the Liverpool One branch is no exception. At peak times in the afternoon or on the weekends this shop is always packed and the queue is almost guaranteed to stretch out of the door so pick the time you visit carefully!
For all it’s faults as a chain coffee house, I have always found Costa to be better value than its rival Starbucks, if only because the cups are so much bigger!

Costa Coffee is much more than a boring coffee shop I once imagined it to be. One thing I do like about Costa, is its atmosphere and design which I always seem to find soothing; in a way it sometimes makes me so relaxed that I could so easily doze off in the middle of a latte.
I like its efficient service but not at peak times which usually happen in the late afternoon between 2pm-​3pm, especially on a busy Saturday when the queue is nearly reaching outside the doorway that you can neither get in or out without saying «excuse me please». Being the impatient person I sometimes am, situations like this just don’t suit me as I’d rather seek elsewhere or go back another time! Full marks for the coffee though; whichever you choose, they are all of great quality and for the prices you pay, they ought to be.
