The New China Garden is a restaurant in West Derby with pretty late opening times. We ended up going in here as a last resort, not a first without any particular reason.
The waitress was very efficient and didn’t mind too much that we were the last people in the restaurant just before closing time. The interior feels a little bit vague and isn’t especially authentic.
The food itself was pretty average, chicken chow mein was a bit watery but the portions made up for this. I found the restaurant to be over priced for what it was, around £9 a dish. New China Garden was an alright place for food, just not the best.
