What a pity this building is now standing derelict in the middle of Penny Lane! This used to be a lovely little bistro and yes, the seating was cramped, but you always bumped into (sometimes literally) someone you knew.
Of course, given the fact that most things in Liverpool try to reap some Beatles benefits, this attracted a fair amount of tourists too. The novelty factor was definitely the fact that it was a round restaurant in the middle of a road though, never mind the Beatles connection.
Hopefully something will be done with it soon — it’d be nice to see it restored to its former glory.
