Smithies was recommended to me about five years ago and I soon became a regular client. Following a lengthy consultation regarding suitable colours, I entrusted them to dye my toffee blonde hair to a rich chocolate brunette, which was, by all accounts, a success. SInce then I have returned on numerous occassions, for cuts, up-​dos, and re-​dyes, all of which have been equally professional and more than adequate. The stylists are extremely good although occassionally a little. haughty.
I have tried other salons over the past five years and few have exceeded the standard of Smithies.
Prices are about average and they are, I believe, the only local hairdressers open on Sundays which is, for some reason, always the day I want my hair done.
As well as hairdressing the salon offers a range of beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures and tanning.
