Acting like a small child and running excitedly into this sparkly store definitely has to be one of my favourite past-times. The Disney palace offers costumes, toys, towels, accessories, picture books, stationary and much more, to please fans of all ages. The Toy Story range is quite frankly second to none. I see nothing wrong in buying my twenty year old friend a giant Mr. Potato Head, filled with baby versions, for her birthday. Prices are reasonable and items from here are real collectables. I’m a fan!

The Disney store is a bit of a hark back to the good old days for a student roaming around Liverpool ONE. Even for the less conscientious of us who haven’t kept in touch with all the latest Disney’s releases, the Disney Store is packed with plenty of memorabilia ranging from children’s cups to stuffed characters of all different sizes. I think it’s probably quite hard to review a shop targeted for small children and all of the naffness of it has to be taken in respect to the Disney Store’s target audience. This hasn’t stopped friends of mine from buying pens, toys and all sorts from this large shop.

Doesn’t everybody like things which are bright, colourful and sparkly? Well, this is what you should expect when visiting the Disney store especially for kids as they often adore decorations like this. Even if you’re an adult, it can be fun because this store will give you the impression of walking in a mini Disneyworld! If you have kids with you, it’ll certainly be hard for them to leave and chances are that’ll you’ll be swept off your feet and left with a hole in your pocket before you know it! The shop itself sells everything you would expect that relates to Disney films from toys, garments, to children’s jewellery, anything a fanatic Disney person would be proud to own.

Staying on the subject of companies that target children, the Disney Store has to be one of the most clever and manipulative businesses around. Incase their eye catching displays of soft toys aren’t enough to ween children into the store, they often have staff dressed in Disney costumes and paraphenalia. Of course they claim this is to enhance the children’s experience but we all know it’s so parents feel pressured into buying whatever DVD, costume or Disney merchandise is being promoted that week. If Disney really is ‘Where imagination begins’, it’s time to worry!

This is the recently opened Liverpool One Disney Store relocated from Clayton Square. I’ve always loved shopping at the Disney Store with my children and this one has lots of choice with a good mixture of traditional favourites like winnie the pooh and tigger to High School Musical and the newer Pixar movies. The childrens clothes are of a very high quality. They have plenty of toys are available on the shop floor to try out and the staff are very helpful too. I think this new store is a little smaller than the previous one its only on one floor but its certainly easier to get round.
