Warehouse is a prime example of a store that truly cannot compete in Liverpool One’s complex. With over-priced mid-quality garments, there’s never anything in here that myself or my friends would like to purchase. Due to the poor layout of trends and styling of the store, nothing really appeals. I sort of get what they’re angling at, but then I sort of don’t. In comparison to other shops along this row Warehouse looks pithy and pathetic. However, this store does offer some nice accessories, and the staff are really knowledgeable on their current season lines. As well as this, the changing rooms are beautiul. So if you ever do fancy trying something on it’s a nice experience in comparison to some other retailers.

I don’t know about you but I think it’s high time retailers stopped using dead singers and musicians to sell their products. Aside from the fact they can’t protest about the way their music or image is being exploited, the whole thing seems cheap and nasty. Admittedly, Warehouse aren’t usually as bad as most. There’s no large photos blown up around the store or bad TV adverts utilising classic songs but their current collection includes a line called Nirvana. Spread across all the company’s stores including this swanky Liverpool ONE branch, it focuses on ‘lad back grunge and faded denim with loose boyfriend tailoring’. To compliment the denim shorts, shirts, jeans and playsuits, there’s a range of ‘washed out ditsy florals’. Personally, I don’t mind some of the clothes but I can’t see Kurt Cobain wearing them or appreciating the association. After all, the other lines in their 2010 spring — summer collection include Spring Mist, Seagrass, White Reef and Gardenia. Hardly punk rock, right?
