this is probably the closest you will get to a proper chippy on the outskirts of the city centre. the prices arent as expensive as city centre takeaways, however they do offer some of the same food. not content with jsut being a fish and chip shop, world on a plate offers pretty much all the takeaway food you can imagine — pizzas, kebabs, chinese, english. it really is trying to offer you the worlds takeaway food on a plate. the quality of the food isnt the greatest, ive often found chips to be overly greasy and pizzas a bit bland, but when its your only takeaway option in the vicinity, there isnt much you can do about that. the opening times are a bit wierd, times when you would expect a takeaway to be open, this place is often closed. it doesnt open very late either.
