Ask

I have to say I enjoyed this way more than I expected to. Ask is the first restaurant on the right as you come into Hatch End from Stanmore.
Parking immediately close is virtually impossible, but as locals know continuing down to the next right turn and taking this, there is a free car park just 50 metres down the road just after Kwik Fit on the left.
As for the restaurant itself, I haven’t been to a branch of Ask for a while. The menu was a pleasant surprise with a few non bog– standard dishes. My fish cake starter was a little bland, though my penne paesana was outstanding, though I’m a sucker for pesto. Several friends had the garlic king prawn special starter which looked terrific and I’m sure contained enough garlic to keep them vampire free for a few days.
The restaurant is very crowded and tables a little crammed together. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Two friends who had chosen the three course set menu could not eat their desserts, so the staff insisted on someone else ordering something as they were paid for. Overall a really good experience

I would recommend the food here, its fabulous! From pizza to nice salads you can definitely dine here for lunch or for dinner, not to mention that the deserts are define. The resturant has a nice atmosphere and the service is friendly.
