I went here with my Dad, as for years, the arguments have gone on about having a memorial erected for Bomber Command. The sculptures are truly amazing and real like, you feel they could come to life. The open roof with the RAF’s motto. The inscriptions on the plinth. It was a goosebump moment. It is suitably located by Hyde Park in Central London, just adjacent from the Royal Artillery«Roundabout memorial». It is very tastefully done. An absolutely must for those who want to pay their respects and to honor those who have served.

This is a stunning monument and a great tribute to the Royal Air Force and allied forces of WW2. The statue is so life like it’s incredible. A must see for WW2 historians. I found myself here for a good 20 – 30 minutes thinking about the ultimate sacrifices these men made. Thank you so much. The main monument is located within a beautiful white concrete wall enclosure with quotes and comments engraved into the walls. Plenty of people left reefs to honor the fallen soldiers. Many of the pilots came from across the commonwealth including Canada and Australia. I encourage people to bring their kids and ensure these men and their sacrifices are not forgotten. Powerful stuff! BK
