Rather expensive in their commision rates, and not the most professional in terms of personal services. I used Acorn to sell my first flat and I wouldn’t use them again. On completion day the agent that I was paying commission to rang me again and again to complain that I hadn’t left the house yet and that the buyer wanted to get in — it was still 11am! I was trying to pack up my house and he kept interrupting me, making it take even longer to finish. Eventually I’m afraid I lost my temper and told him to F– off, and put the phone down. This guy was acting like he was working for hte buyer, when in fact he was getting all his money from me! Not professional of him, and he handled the whole thing very badly. They do have a good presence in the local papers, but I think so many people use the interenet now to look for houses that they need to up their game.
