All Bar One

Standard all-​bar-​one example. Reasonable selection of beers, many wines and cocktails.
Didnt eat but again a similar selection to other outlets of the same name.
Service was good and plenty of staff were tending the bar. There were a few tables outside but they were for 2 people only so the overflow were standing around the edges.

This is apparently a chain restaurant, which was surprising to me because you rarely see a chain the US that is this nice. Well done, Brits. I guess I could compare this place to The Cheesecake Factory in the US, in terms of vibe and décor.
I only had a glass of wine here, but service was quick and there was a pretty vast wine selection, so that was nice as well. I am not sure about the food here, but the place was swarming with people drinking it up on a Thursday afternoon.

After being disappointed in the «pub food» in London, we stumbled upon this gastropub and decided to give it a try. I believe it’s a chain in London so there are many locations. I loved the décor and feel of this place. There are many bar height tables and each table has menus and condiments (with ketchup to die for). It looked like the bar was well-​stocked. We ate:
Handmade Beef & Coriander Burger — Very flavorful patty and loved that it came with fries because they had Wilkins & Sons ketchup that is soooooo addicting!
Classic Club Sandwich — A very hardy club sandwich filled with all the classic ingredients. Had some good bacon in this sandwich.
Grill Chicken Breast — Smothered under ham and mozzarella, which we suspect is how the British like their chicken. If you like meat and cheese, you’ll like this dish.
Grilled Halloumi & Portobello Mushroom Stack — YUM! My favorite here. Tasted meaty even though it was vegetarian.
Everything we got was portioned big enough to share amongst 5 people. I think my impression of this place is so good because of the ketchup. I know you can buy it anywhere but I think all of us ate 3 times more fries than we normally would because of the ketchup at the table. Avoid the pub food in London and head directly to the gastropubs!

All Bar One is a handy little bar who I believe is mainly targeted towards women. After entering and sitting down, my girlfriend instantly looked very at ease in a way she doesn’t in so many other boozers. The music was loud, but not too loud. the atmosphere was talky, but not too talky… the place was clean. but to a women, there isn’t ‘too clean’. All of the seating is restaurant style, so although the title uses the word ‘Bar’, there actually aren’t any seats next to the bar that you can sit on! Menu is of average size and choice, with the traditional ‘garlic bread starter steak chips main course’ etc and the prices aren’t terrible, but are what you’d expect from a pub eaterie. The only thing that soured this place for me was the woman who came up to me, demanding I order something. So I ordered a tap water! She said no. and asked me what I was taking notes on (perceptive woman indeed). I pointed to five empty tables and asked her what the problem with me sitting here was. to which she said ‘you look weird’ and walked off. I shrugged the incident off, but pretty awesome and worth the mention, none the less!
