This place is amazing! From a few days old this place is a great place to take the baby. It’s wonderful to see your little one float in the small pool or get to socialize with other babies as they float in the big pool. After several visits you can see their skills in the water and balance and calm improve. While a visit is nice, if you are able to manage the cost(about £50 per visit) you’ll have a better experience with consecutive visits because you can see the improvement visit to visit. After the hydrotherapy the baby gets a lovely massage. There is a quiet room for nursing or feeding baby after the session as they are usually hungry and sleepy. Laura Sevenus who owns and runs the BabySpa is amazing with babies and is absolutely lovely. She’s like a «baby whisperer.» Her understanding of babies and her gentle approach and insights are amazing. I’ve learned so much from her. After graduating from BabySpa after a number of visits your baby can continue on to the Baby Swim School by Laura Sevenus. My baby started at 4 months, I’d wished I’d started it at a few weeks, as they generally stop attending at 6 – 8 months of age depending upon the baby. Once she was 8 months we moved on to the Swim School in Chiswick which uses Laura’s method. Honestly, the first visit was for me, I thought it looked adorable and didn’t know what to expect. Her first time in the pool, it was kind of short, but she was tuckered out so it was ok. Then later that night she slept so well. I decided to make a return visit and each subsequent appointment she had more time in the pool and grew more relaxed and confident. It was bonding time for me and baby, and I enjoyed it. However, there were times I’d scheduled it when she was tired or hungry and she cried or just wasn’t into it then our sessions were shorter. Try and plan around your baby’s sleeping and eating schedule. Here’s a video of my baby at the BabySpa.

I brought my son walt here and was really surprised by the poor service. Truthfully I have a healthy skepticism with places like this but kept an open mind as my wife’s good friend said the baby spa would be great relaxing and a positive learning experience for our son. The ambiance was decent, but felt the staff was terse and impatient with our child as he was adjusting to the new environment. Based on the price, I’d expect a lot more.

‘When our daughter cried, Laura yanked her out of the water, didn’t console her, and just said she can’t come back to the spa’. My response, ‘Which baby doesn’t cry? Shouldn’t a baby spa be a nurturing place rather than a place that mistreats babies?
