I went here for a night out for my last evening in London. Great crowd here and great bartenders. They had live music and were open late. The staff was friendly and bartenders were quick to serve. Great hang out spot.

For some reason they weren’t serving all of the ‘Happy Hour’ deals as advertised so I ended up paying £13 for a jar cocktail when I expected to get the jug deal for £10(they didn’t give me a reason why they weren’t doing it, just that they weren’t). Before 8pm, they had the football on which was loud and meant we couldn’t really talk. When it’d finished there was some basic cheesy pop music but quiet enough so we could chat. It got louder later when it turned into a sort of chavvy night club! Everyone was friendly enough but it was expensive. It’s one of those places that has a woman sat in the toilets, expected to be paid simply to hand you a piece of tissue, and listening to you awkwardly while you pee! They have lockers to store your stuff, which is handy. And an outdoor smoking area(which is freezing during Winter as there are no heaters). They take table reservations for groups and they also serve food — although there’s nothing vegetarian and it costs a lot! Overall, an ok place for an average night out. Nothing special.

Shameful food. Ordered chicken goujons and fish arrived. My companions’ food arrived cold. Mentioned it to waiter who seemed completely disinterested. We won’t be coming back any time soon. Terrible on every level!

Ambiance joviale, prix un peu élevés(en même temps c’est à Londres). Les verres mettent du temps à arriver par contre. Je recommande !

I went into this bar on a rainy night while visiting London. The famous restaurant next door looked too pretentious and this place seemed just right. Well I got a cider beer that was very sweet and good, of all the bars/restaurants that I’ve been to in London, this one had the best range of ciders. I also had a chicken sandwich with guacamole and bacon on it and sweet potatoe fries. The food was very tasty. They seem to have a late happy hour as well. I’m only giving 4 stars because they don’t accept American Express.

Typical Belushis, bar in a hostel catering to backpackers looking to drink and party on the cheap. Since this is London and drink prices are cheap it could explain why there were locals in here at like 8pm or they were there to try to chat up a foreigner traveling through looking for a good time? This place gets pretty loud on a Friday night, if not for the people that cram into here, there is a DJ playing music. Don’t need to dress up here, just a bunch of people looking to have a good time at night.

We stopped off here for lunch before getting the train back to Leeds. We chose here because they looked to have a good range of burgers adaptable for vegetarians. We arrived just before lunch and ordered 2 mexican veggie burgers. While we were looking at the menu a large group of french students came in to eat so we swooped in to order before them. They were quoted a long time for food and ended up leaving. The waitress was delighted at this, which is crazy, so much money walked out the door! After 10 minutes after ordering we were told they had no veggie burgers at all! We looked back at the menu, and asked if we could have the burger but with halloumi instead of the bean patty. This confused her for a while, but she finally got it, so we thought. A long time later our food came up, without bread buns so it was sent back downstairs to the kitchen. Even more time later(far too much time to add a bun) our food finally arrived. And it was the coldest food I ever had the displeasure of receiving. It had clearly been sat in the hatch forgotten about for quite some time. We complained and asked for a refund. We didn’t have time to wait another unforeseeable amount of time for food when we needed to be in Kings Cross in an hour. When my partner asked for a refund she didn’t refund all the food and he had to explain an extra part of the order which she missed, when she should have really just refunded the whole lot, the one drink included(i’d ordered water). I am sure the owners would be shocked to hear the staff are happy just to let countless customers walk out the door. We’ll definitely go to Byrons next time.

Popped in here this afternoon after a little shopping exhibition with the Mrs. I love the quirky retro film posters covering the walls. It’s a good space, tables inside and out and plenty of screens to catch the latest sports game. Not normally my thing but always a fan of having the ParaOlympics on. Overall it has a standard spread behind the bar, and looses points for having next to no non-alcoholic alternatives. Where’s my J20? But I did spot some good promotions on the walls; Happy hours Sun-Thurs and cheap nights. There also seems to be a lot going on, live Music Thursdays, some comedy and lots and lots of sport. Now I didn’t sample the ‘internationally acclaimed’ burgers they promoted so brilliantly, but the bar/wait staffs methods of quality control was to place the hand on said food to see how hot it was before taking it out… also did I mention the staff all looked about 10 years old(showing my age here). Overall, a good place to catch a quick bev,

Für eine kleine Pause zu empfehlen, günstige Preise und das Essen scheint super zu sein! Tische und Theke sind zwar klebrig, Kaffee wurde aber frisch zubereitet.

A delightful, drunken mad house with lots and lots of shots — at least that’s how it seemed on Halloween. I can’t speak to the food but don’t be surprised if you end up snogging a skinny South African dude with pink hair wearing a dress by the end of the night.

Christ. I can’t remember how it started, but it ended with our trio being splendidly drunk, so drunk I wouldn’t have noticed if someone strapped a jetpack to my back. Whatever led us to Belushi’s, it was meant to be. We were aiming for a quiet pint before an afternoon of adventure, but our drunken minds slowly became the playground. The sequence of events were as follows — — Guy walks into a bar(just kidding). — Quoting Anchorman audibly. — Hot, feisty barmaids join in. — «For every quote of Anchorman, take a shot.» — For every shot you take, the barmaids have to take a shot. — Shot phrase of the day becomes«CANNONBALL» — Call everyone you know in London and get them to come round to see your drunken ass. After that I don’t remember much. There was a stag party for 30 in at the same time as us, and we were louder than them. We threw some ice down the barmaids tops at their request. For every shot we had, they swore they had to drink, too. The clock struck 1PM. My friends who I hadn’t seen in years came to join us. My friend took me a walk round the block to sober me up. It was the kind where he had to lead me around, like I was his pet dog or ferret, or something. By that time he had at least 3 heads, the world was tilted on its axis and I was so drunk I couldn’t spell«CAT». Clock strikes 5 and the barmaids get sent home because they’re fucked. By that time we’ve had too much and can’t speak. I’m so drunk my body isn’t obeying the normal laws of physics, chemistry, biology or any other kind of science you might throw in there. I wouldn’t have noticed if a SONICBOOM hit me in the face. My friend lost his bag. We realise we’re late for Spamalot and jump a taxi because we can’t remember how to walk there(we had been in that area the same morning). I’m so drunk Spamalot moves me to tears and there might’ve been audience participation on my part. I sincerely hope not. So in short, Belushi’s turns you into a wankered wanker. I would not be friends with me after downing some cheap booze from Belushi’s. It’s so affordable and appealing to students they’ll sniff it out miles away. But you know what? Best barmaids and best afternoon spent drinking of my life. So I might’ve been the most annoyingly Booze Britain girl in town that afternoon, but it was a blast.

Feels like a student bar crossed with an Aussie bar and the food was unexciting. Been there twice and just don’t enjoy hanging out there.

In short: Jagger Bombs! Now on to the actual review… Belushi’s was the first stop on our pub crawl. It reminded me of any place I could find in the states, were I to get homesick for a standard sportsbar. We arrived at 7:30, just at the tail end of their happy hour specials. The inside is reminiscent of any American sports bar. It’s populated by a lot of tourists and a good amount of Australian locals. The sort of place for loud, slightly obnoxious fun. The music is slightly out dated – very late 90s in a way that slightly tacky and slightly endearing. It’s not the sort of atmosphere I’d really go to in the evening, but its a fun place for happy hour in the late afternoon. The outdoor seating area is quite pleasant and it’s only a short distance away from so many other places that provide a better atmosphere in the evenings. Bonus points because the bartenders are chatty, have quite a bit of skill in pouring drinks, and made some delicious mixed concoction that was a lot stronger than it tasted.

This is my favorite Belushi’s ever. It’s classic. So conveniently located in Covent Garden. A quick hop step and jaunt away from ONeill’s and the Roadhouse. The music is reminiscent of late 90’s sort of outdated — was popular 5 years ago– in the U.S. but it maintains it’s style, that panache and atmosphere that just makes Belushi’s so damn wonderful. The posters splashed on every wall are also the best. You can not go to Belushi’s without ordering a Jug. The best times are to go during happy hour when they are amazingly cheap and get you toasted. Delicious! Coronas, jagerbombs and jugs are what Belushi’s is ALL about. Oh Belushi’s, I miss you. Hop across the pond and meet me in San Francisco.

Usually I’d go out of my way to avoid any place popular with Antipodeans, in the same way I avoid going to anywhere where the Brits go when abroad, just because they can be quite loud and lairy. Belushi’s is a magnet for Australians mainly because it’s both central and affordable. Recently we took advantage of 241 on all bottles of Corona on a busy Saturday afternoon. It was great. With good weather it’s okay to spill out onto the street otherwise you can opt to stay in the shabby looking bar itself. Wouldn’t want to try it on an evening but for afternoon drinking it seemed alright!

Set in Covent Garden, Belushi’s Bar is in a perfect location to attract all the tourist to chug down those beautiful cocktails at a cheaper cost, because at Belushi’s Bar, its happy hour every day till 8pm. If you like the Blues brother, then you will like this bar. This American bar has both English and American meals on the menu, with a selection of 30 cocktails in a décor of movie posters and Blues Brothers memorabilia. So it is not the usual night out. It mainly plays blues all night but also rock, and a few cocktails into the night, you will love it. I love it in here, whenever a relative from overseas visits, I take them to Belushi’s because there is always something happening. They have great burgers on the menu, and I would recommend theior biggest burger with a cocktail of your choice to wash it down.

This place is always seems to be full of London’s Aussie population. It’s quite a small place but there’s usually a good atmosphere and it’s always pretty lively. The drinks are great value for the area which is a bonus and this tends to attract a younger student following. You can choose from over 40 different cocktails all around £9 for a jug which is amazing and they always have some sort of drinks offer on. They also have happy hour everyday unitl 8pm! In the summer it’s quite a good hang out because the people spill out onto the street and become part of the lively and fun Covent Garden area. It has a grungey, rock and indie feel because of the music you’ll often find playing in here-the likes of the Foo Fighters and Guns ‘n’ Roses. It’s a great place to watch sport too.

Belushi’s is in a great location and opens later than a lot of other places. It tends to get a little over crowded and isn’t the best place to go for a proper chat with your mates. The drinks prices are average but they do have some great deals on. over-all Belushi’s is ok but it seems that with a little bit of hunting around there are far better ways to spend an evening with your mates

This was a regular hangout for my colleagues at my old work place. It was close(to them I had a trek to get in there), open late, and cheap. And that pretty much sums this place up for me as well. I’m not such a fan of this chain, and although I do know it serves a purpose, I’ve never been into dingy pubs for cheap horrid drinks with the aim to get wasted. Not that this was their total aim(i think). The place itself is fine. It’s just that I went with my work friends who insisted on having a snake bite(BIG cheap mixed drink, I can’t even remember what the mix was) and my hangover was testiment to how horrible it was — and left a bad taste in my mouth witn Belushis all round!
