I came on a business dinner with colleagues and clients. Even though location and wine were good, I was quite disappointed by the food and the presentation — the reviews both here and on tripadvisor were quite good and I was expecting a quite elegant restaurant with very nice presented food and very tasty as well. It was not very tasty, I would say it was ok. Badly presented. Really strange for a restaurant where waiters come every minute to refill your wine and can remember what everyone at the table ordered(we were like 20 people)! But I have to say the wine was really good and the staff very kind

Went here for a work lunch since the requirements were kosher food. Since I’m not Jewish that doesn’t factor into my review. Firstly the fact food is kosher shouldn’t make up for it being crap food nor service that meant we waited half an hour to have orders taken and 40 minutes from drinks to be served. By then I knew I’d be in for a real treat if the food was anything like the service so I went risk free and ordered a rib eye steak. Steak came overdone and pretty thin, I counted 8 very small chips on my plate, half a tamato and peppercorn sauce that a colleague described as HP sauce with added water. To top it all its not cheap that thin semi-cold steak cost £30. Just go to Hawksmoor instead. This place doesn’t deserve to exist.

What a great and surprising dinner! we tried to find something that is one the one hand new to the colleague with the not too travelled pallet but adventurous enough for her to experience new things. The place is a very clean ambiance, yet slight wear on the glasses(invest into a nice dishwasher detergent — it helps). We had a fantastic tuna with pistachios on an israeli salad, and a lamb tagine that was to die for. A slow night, with the other tables sporting Kippahs left and right(I think we were the only non Jewish people there). Still the service was lacking a little bit especially for the price they ask for. Why not 5 stars? The discrepancy of price and service.

Outstanding kosher food and service, but be prepared for expensive. Salt beef appetizer was wonderful… beef melted in my mouth, without tasting too obviously of salt. Wanted to order duck with curry, but they were out. Instead, Steak and Ale Pie, not a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish dish either, was an excellent kosher version of the English classic. Salad of spinach, tomato, and pomegranates with a sweet vinaigrette dressing was nice healthier side dish. Was too full for dessert, but desserts options looked good but not exciting to me on that visit. Very nice ambiance, excellent service by knowledgeable and very well trained staff. Be prepared for an expensive meal. I very much want to go again.

This is a great restaurant. Would get 5th star, but it is very expensive. The food is delicious. The steak, fries, soups, are all amazing. The place is beautiful and the service is friendly. It is certainly an oasis in London for those of us who keep kosher and even those that don’t.

This is an interesting restaurant. Kosher and innovative Jewish fusion cooking. On the one hand, it follows kosher laws. So that means no dairy – so margarine instead of butter, soy milk for the latte, soy ice creams. Forgot that minor detail. On the other hand, some really good innovation on grandma’s secret recipes. Matzoh ball soup, chopped liver, latkes, and salt beef. Of course I am subject to the density, consistency and flavor of my grandmother’s matzoh balls, so I wasn’t so impressed with my k’nedlach. The chopped liver was fantastic with the most delicious chutney with it. The latkes were deep fried – interesting twist(could have used a dipping sauce) and excellent salt beef. The rhubarb crumble was hotter than hot, and the atmosphere was super-quiet, but a really nice treat in terms of a kosher restaurant and an innovative take on traditional Jewish cuisine.
