In this area you have B&Q as well as Homebase so it is a little surprising to find such a huge building contractors outlet so close. Glad they are here though, as I have been doing up parts of my house I have saved quite a bit of money getting it from this wholesalers.
There is nothing frilly, fluffy or any type of swanky display cabinets, just floor to ceiling (very high ceilings) shelves full of stuff. Aimed at the contractors who know exactly what product they want and in the quantity they need, they don’t need to be wooed by flashy marketing.
A huge range of plumbing, tiling, woodworking, bricklaying, bathroom fitting, loft insulating, wall-​smashing equipment gives way to an enormous warehouse out back of wooden sheets, lengths of treated and untreated softwoods etc. You can cut your own lengths or get the boards cut to the size you want/​need.
The checkout is a bit slow and you have to have your receipt checked on the way out (to make sure you haven’t pilfered and screws or hand tools) but this place genuinely has everything you could ever need to get any househould project done.
Ok, I sometimes come here just to look at he tools and feel dirty… like I know what I am doing…
