Cafe Zest

Had a great cooked breakfast, nice atmosphere an pleasent staff. Not the cheapest around but good quality food, well cooked and presented. Would definitely go back.

This café is situated near the Food Hall of House of Fraser in Croydon. It’s very light and bright and the menu offers a nice range of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups — the usual sort of thing you would expect in a department store café. I went for a crayfish and rocket open sandwich with whole grain bread and it was quite nice. They also have breakfasts until 1.00pm. I visit the food hall quite often in House of Fraser and the café always seems to be busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My friends have an allergy to onions which they forgot to mention when they ordered their sandwiches and the staff were happy to oblige and remove the offending article when we asked them to. We were served very quickly and the prices were quite reasonable. My sandwich was about £4.00 and came with a little salad.
