Went here for the first time on Tuesday, and they did a good job! No complaints at all v. happy with my haircut.

I wanted to put up a defensive review, though admittedly I’ve only been once. I was searching online for a hairdresser that’d manage more than just ‘short back and sides’ and fire up the clippers. All the reviews for this place made it seem like the worst hairdressers ever, which is massively unfair. You’re not going to get Tony & Guy but its a perfectly reasonable and really friendly hairdressers. My haircut is exactly what I wanted, I’m definitely going back.

I have just had the most horrible haircut experience ever and I do not even wish this to my worst enemy
I have been taken care of by the alleged Manager.
She did the complete opposite of what I asked, I ended up having to have it cut with clippers number 4 for and I look like a prisoner
I might have not have expressed my wishes completely perfectly, but she did not dig and try to see what I really wanted.
She argued that with a scissor haircut, that would not have happened, but telling me that it is more expensive. As if I would not have paid the extra 6 pounds to look like myself
I sort of share responsibility for not explaining things properly, but she should not assume we are all hairdressers and know what is number 4 in clippers.
I have been to many places where they start with the clippers and then style it with scissors, but not them, if you pronounce the word clippers; you are up for a prisoner haircut!!!
Not once did she apologize for what she did and when I told her I was upset, she told me I can leave (with half a hair cut) done, literallyand I don’t pay or she finished the disaster she started and I pay
I was not going to leave with half a haircut so I had to have the patience to get this finished without looking at what is the new me for another 30 days
Looking at how little sorry she was for this, I was upset and have told her that I was not happy, she told me I was being rude! Who wouldn’t have been?
She ended up being very rude to me and telling me she doesn’t care about what happened.
Absolutely no customer service skills, no people skills and definitely not any hairdressing skills.
I am so upset I feel like throwing up and I would never recommend this place to anyone!
This lady should not be allowed to get to management position and if she deals with difficult situations the way she has dealt with mine, I wonder how this shop stays in business.
By all mean, if anyone knows how to contact the owner, please get in touch with me, I need to share this with the owner.
Please, chop clapham think twice!

Sometimes good, sometimes not. Didn’t bother going in last time as all the staff were sitting in the back having a cigarette and ignored me.

No need to book an appointment at Chop, male hairdressers, directly opposite Clapham Common tube station (South side exit). Can be a little hit and miss — like most places where you don’t book an appointment.
Most of the time I’ve been happy with the haircut, they seem to have a pretty high staff turnover, every time I visit the shop seems full of different hairdressers. Male cuts from £16, they are open until 7:30pm during the week.
