Maybe it’s me, maybe it is. But I just don’t see the attraction of a tattoo or a piercing parlour doubling as a shop. So the awning of Chrome reads Body Piercing * Tattoos * Jewellery. And their main trade seems to be hats.
And my problem is this, does all the crap that they got to sell not detract the tattoo artist from his work, is this not a distraction. Their hats are ok, in an ok Camden kind of way. Yeah, lots of smoking paraphenalia. Tee-​Hee, smoking weed is so illegal. Bongs for sale, but they’re all at the back of the shop to add to the illicit feeling, so you have to walk through all the hats and piercing stuff to get to them.
Needless to say I didn’t buy anything, or go for the needles

Chrome is a house of pain, truly. The place emanates the true Camden Town feel, and going inside you feel like you’re putting your life and sanity on the mind. You might get stoned just walking past and looking at the array of Cannabis smoking devices. The ornate lighters on sale, most of which are petrol and as such awesome, attract immediate attention. The madness is evident at the end of the shop though, with terrifying examples of the things they can pierce and the carvings they can etch on your skin. Camden at its finest. god knows they have alot of tattoo parlours!

The seductive smell of incense pulls people in off the street in the case of Chrome. Aside from their awesome tattoo and body piercing section, they seem to offer a lot for smokers in the form of lighters, bongs, rizla and little bank bags with cool logos on them. Hats, gloves, scarves and other accessories adorn the opposite side of the store. Take a trip into the back however, and you quickly realise what this store is all about.
I issue a challenge to any male reader of this review: take a hundred quid down to Chrome and request a ‘frenum ladder’ with ’12 gauge captive barbells’. The only advice I can offer you is don’t worry, you won’t be the first to get one, or the first man to cry while getting it done either. Chrome is also a fully-​functional tattoo studio: London’s patron saint of inebriation Amy Winehouse has had one or two tattoos done here herself. And she turned out okay, didn’t she?
