When the dry cleaner tells you that your suit will be ready on Friday what does that actually mean? Does it mean that I can collect it at 9.30am? Or does it meant that it’ll be ready by the end of the day? I’ve always assumed that it meant that it would be ready for me to pick up on the morning of the day. I went in at 2:30pm only to be told it wasn’t ready. I’d have to come back tomorrow. A waste of my time walking down to their shop to collect it, thanks very much. And they’re one of the more expensive dry cleaners I’ve been to as well. I’ll be going elsewhere in the future.

This is my friendly local dry cleaners and not only do they dry and clean, they also alter clothes, very cheaply and very well I might add. This is perfect for me because as you may have noticed from my other reviews, I buy a lot of vintage and although I have my own sewing machine, if something is really nice I wouldn’t dare to alter it myself.
They generally get things done in a day so if you find the perfect dress, but it’s slightly musty and the wrong length, they can have it ready for an outing either that very evening or latest the next day. The last time I went in with a pink silk dress and had it dry cleaned, a little stain removed and taken up for £15, absolute bargain considering it only cost a tenner in the first place.
