Went for lunch today. food was so delicious! wish i could of had everything off the menu! Squid and the honey roast chicken was amazing! Would go back again! Service could be a little quicker at lunch hours waited a long time for the bill.

In terms of the food the starters were excellent, my wife’s main was very good (pork belly) my main (duck with noodles) was a bit watery and lacked any real taste. I could have overlooked this one «miss» in terms of the food but unfortunately the service we received was in line with the worst we have received in London in the five years of living in the city.

I live around the corner from this shop/​café. It is a total godsend. Good coffees. Nice hot chocolate. Selection of teas. Scrummy cakes. Range of goodies — jams/​biscuits etc — that are ideal for gifts or just treats. Free wifi. Carefully selected second hand/​vintage clothing — I wish I bought the top hat when I had the chance. Friendly service. They recently added out door seating. I love the care they put into their (season/​holiday/​celebration specific) window displays. I just wish the place was busier. There are virtually no quality places in the immediate area. I’m very grateful for Café Vintage and wish them all the best.

Lovely FUSION (Asian) food, in a nice romantic atmosphere. The service is very good, its comfortable, although it can be abit dark inside. Large selection of drinks, as stated food is very nice, portion size is good, price also good for the food eaten. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I’ve been to 2 Ricker Restaurants so far and I’d much prefer E&O. Even though it was similar menus the quality of food was much better at E&O. They should put a warning on the menu if something is spicy.

We love Cicada. When out of towners are going to dine with us and we want a reliably excellent meal and experience, we bring them here. Drinks are great, and food is better. Highly recommend. everything. Ribs, vietnamese chicken salad, the list goes on and on. We have been 4 – 5 times. All great meals.

it seems like fusuion cuisine is all the age especially in Asia and Cicada jumped on to that band wagon a while ago !
It is part of the eight over eight group of restaurants and has teh whole vibe of fusuion asian cuisine and lychee marinitis (i love these).
The drinks: are pretty good: but the bartender does not like to be told otherwise !
It gets an interiors revamp every couple of months and so is smartish ! and caters well to the city crowd with its location and prices !
I was fairly regular as they have some interesting dishes, !
though I would reserve a table, they tend to get busy !
Though as you can see my review is luke warm because the food does tend to fluctuate and thus makes me hestitant about recomending it with furvour !

Our evening at Cicada started nicely with well mixed cocktails from a very knowledgeable bartender. They dulled the long wait for our previously reserved table.
Things began to look bad when the waitress warned of seven or eight missing dishes. This on a menu of maybe 25 at 9:30 on a Saturday night.
The food ranged from palatable pad thai to overly fried tempura to card board-​like chili tofu. Small selection of decently priced wines. There were 10+ minute gaps in our service and it was pretty clear that the place was lacking in organizational management.
We left unsatisfied and hungry. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with a palate for asian dishes or those wanting a fine dining experience.

I had quite a lovely time here a couple months ago, when they were running their special of three courses plus a glass of wine, all for £15. And for that price, it was so worth it.
The food was very good: the sushi was some of the best I’ve tasted in London, I can’t even explain it. THIS is quality sushi at its finest! I then had the Pad Thai, and it was appropriately spiced, followed by a sorbet for dessert. My friend and I could not move for a good half hour after, the food was so good and so filling.
The service was excellent, almost too excellent, as the waiter would come keep the other person company when one of us went to use the loo. It was funny but… odd.
I wish they would bring back the credit crunching special… there’s still an economic crisis going on and I want more Cicada!

Cicada — Nice looking restaurant. Friendly, enthusiastic service. An asian fusion restaurant. We were very impressed with the level of service and the quality of the food. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, and the dim sum was amazing! Will definately be going back.
