Large portions! The is the restaurant inside the Hilton Doubletree Westminster hotel. The food is good and plentiful. The large portions make it stand out. It is on the pricier side but good. The breakfast bufett is very popular!

Typical hotel restaurant. Standard buffet breakfast. Did what it said on the tin.

The City Café is absurdly overpriced(£17 for a breakfast buffet with a very small selection, £4 for a few slices of cold toast, et cetera) and simply not good. You’ll be better off walking to one of the nearby restaurants which serves breakfast.

We were booked at the City Inn Westminster and since we were too hungry and too tired to go anywhere else for lunch, we decided to try their City Inn Café. Their lunch buffet was approximately 20 euros per person. It consisted of unlimited appetizers and desserts, and a choice of one entrée. The appetizers and desserts were delicious but I was not impressed with the entrée. It was average at best. I felt we could have had a better meal for the same price elsewhere. Will we dine there again? Probably not.

This is a great place to come for dinner if you’re a) staying at the hotel b) in the area on a Sunday as it’s the only place open. Luckily though, it’s really nice here. We had a coffee here in the afternoon and to be honest, it was a bit quiet, too quiet it felt slightly like a waiting room to be honest.(The generic hotel music didn’t really help matters). But it was nice enough — very minimalist. Nice abstract lighting made out of whisks which was an interesting touch. We came back to the restaurant for dinner and we had a really lovely meal. Somewhat unusual start of salt cod and chorizo scotch egg was a rather pleasant surprise. The pork belly was lovely and I think three course was about £17. Not overly cheap, but you could indeed do a lot worse. The service was great. Very polite. I wouldn’t come here out of choice, but I find hotel restaurants strange things anyway — there’s something transitional about them and I don’t usually relax very well if everyone around me is just arriving or just leaving or killing time until they check out. Luckily, the food and company here distracted me from this for long enough and i had a great time. And if you’re in the area on a Sunday evening, it really is the only place you’ll find open.

A very hidden place just down the road from the Tate Britain! The restaurant is inside the hotel, and located on a quiet street near Pimlico. It was a usual hotel restaurant, quite classy and elegant, and the waiting staff were very courteous and prompt. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. We both tried the 3-course set menu, which I believe is updated every week or so to reflect seasonal foods. And £17.50 for 3 courses is quite a decent price too. I had the crispy whitebait for starters, which was excellent, but my main course of sausage and mash potatoes was average. For desert I had the blueberry cheescake with ice cream which was pretty good. Drinks were way overpriced however, with mediocre wines costing over £20 a bottle and bottled water at £4−5. Still, it was a really good place, although somewhat in the middle of nowhere. One plus is that sometimes toptable has 2for1 offers, and there is a restaurant membership scheme that includes this restaurant in it too for 2for1, so thats a bonus.
