Popped in for a few hours with some coworkers. It’s pretty easy to miss if you haven’t been before and are not that familiar with the area(that’s me!). I walked past it twice. Glen M.‘s description of it being«stunningly loud» is spot on. The music was good(90’s R&B on a Friday night), but my voice was hoarse from trying to shout over it in no time. Surprisingly, I don’t go out with a group to sit in silence while having permanent ear damage done. No food.

It’s a decent enough bar, and open late. It’s stunningly loud. It’s got a decent enough menu, but I wouldn’t stray off the cocktail list. Cocktails are £7.50. An attempt at an original beer list kind of fails. Lots of nice things, but kind of what everyone has, all around £4-£4.50 a bottle. Trendy vintage coathangers on the exposed brick walls. A little scene-y, but OK, I suppose. Decent enough, but not fabulous.

I like it. I was warned before I came here that they sometimes have a difficult time making cocktails that are off menu but I asked for a brandy sidecar and it wasn’t half bad actually. and fairly cheap for old street :) And the cocktails on menu were tasty and interesting. I had a sip of the daiquiri and another one that had honey vodka or something. tasty. Small space. Not quite a bar, not quite a club. Very lounge-y. If I need a chill early evening place to meet people before the rest of the night begins then this is the place.

I’d classify this as a good pre/post dinner date drinks spot. Maybe, like, a first date. It isn’t quite as intimate as other cocktail spots in the area(Calooh Callay, Happiness Forgets, Nightjar etc.), but still really cozy, hip, and well-decorated. I’ll definitely add it to the neighborhood rotation. Like Haley F. said, not a wow, but a nice addition to Old Street.

Great happy hour prices are hard to come by sometimes, at least when they’re connected to a decent drink. Common is a great little place to stop in for a couple of cheeky drinks, I would imagine it gets a bit loud with all that brick, but when it’s a little less crowded like when we were in, it was alright. Great service, will definitely be stopping back around, seems like a good after-work go-to.

super cute little place. the ground floor is all wood and brick and exposed light bulbs. the adorable bartender is still working out how to make everything on the menu, but she really tires and so one can forgive her a little. the music was amazing till about 11 and then it turned into the normal thump thump no real melody bullshit that is so boring. its not a WOW place, but has a nice comfortable vibe.

As of right Now, they have only been open for about a month, and i have only been in once, but I will judge based on my experience of going in there on a quiet Tuesday night. — Small and inviting, the downstairs is fairly small as well but pretty nice. — Nice use of red brick behind the bar. — Stools at the bar(a rarity in London bars and a huge plus in my opinion). — Friendly bar staff(they took a moment to have a conversation with me). — Quality cocktails(nothing amazingly original, but it’s nice to see the classics made well).
