Full disclosure, I’m a Cowshed groupie. As we left, my friend said«You can’t help but relax» which is so true. Let’s start with the people. My friend was running seriously late, and it didn’t look like she’d make it. Chloe did everything she could to give my friend extra time, and she turned up just in the nick of time. Even though we were pushing it, we were never made to feel pressured, like we were an inconvenience. The décor at each Cowshed is slightly different, I think Clarendon Cross is my fave to date. The treatment chairs are über comfy, you could seriously fall asleep. If you’re on your own, there are mini TVs and headphones for each chair, Wimbledon & Friends were playing when I was last in. And the treatments… They’re not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I had a speedy pedicure, which includes exfoliation, buffing and cuticle treatment. I came away with great shaped, perfectly painted nails, and seriously soft feet. If you deserve a pamper, book yourself in stat, and then treat yourself to dinner in Notting Hill!

No one probably knows this was in the 1965 film, «The Knack… and How to Get It». This place used to be the Portland Arms before it was the Cowshed.

I’ve had plenty of massages in my life, but I can confidently say that I received the BEST massage ever at Cowshed. After four months of carting around my newborn and being physically exhausted from lack of sleep, I was desperate for a bit of pampering. Fortunately, my mom-in-law had recently given me an online gift certificate to Cowshed! I booked a 45 minute massage with Ashley and entered Cowshed to find a clean, cozy and well decorated spa. The massage itself… no exaggeration, with my eyes closed, I felt like I was lounging on a beach and the waves were massaging me. Ashley’s movements/massage were so fluid and there were no awkward pauses while she pumped more oil on her hands or changed positions around the table. I left regretting having not booked a 60 min massage! The spa is not super close to a tube station and it’s certainly a bit pricey, however the price will absolutely not keep me from visiting again in the very near future!

As a special treat for being such a great maid of honor my sister took us both for a treatment. she had a facial and i had a sea salt body scrub and massage. It was very relaxing and not at all uncomfortable considering i got naked(all but a tiny pair of disposable pants) in front of a stranger and let them rub my body! my skin came out beautifully soft and refreshed. although it was meant to be a treat i did take a peek at the price list and it is probably more towards the expensive side but if you have the time and dosh to spare i would recommend giving it a go.

I received a gift voucher for a treatment at the Cow Shed last year. Somehow I never got round to using this up and suddenly the year was over. The staff at this branch were the most gracious you could imagine. One quick call to head office and I was offered the equivalent value in products — this place is very popular and no treatments were available that afternoon(mid-week!). I am not a big fan of beauty parlours in general as most of them have a rather off-putting atmosphere. By contrast, the cow shed is instantly relaxing, and I will definitely come back. On this occasion my friend and I enjoyed a healthy and most delicious lunch.

If you need a manicure and a good ‘pampering session’ at the same time, the cowshed is the place. The place is trendy, filled with yummie mummies, and very bright and sunny. Lie down in the white leather chairs on a sunny day and enjoy your ‘me-time’ in a very fashionable way.

The best manicure I have had in London. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, nice location(just off Holland Park) and very professional staff. I have returned here time and time again for a pedicure and manicure with Marta and it’s always been A1. The pedicure even last 3 – 4 weeks! There is also a mini café on site so you can have a sandwich or freshly made cake but be warned it’s not cheap, although I think as a treat it’s worth it. They also offer other treatments, but I have only had a massage and a wax which were both great. Oh, they get very booked up so I would recommend calling well in advance!
