Great spot for a nice romantic meal and a glass of wine. Food was excellent perfectly cook and flavoursome. A little bit pricey but the quality of the food and the selection of wine you see where that extra bit goes. Friendly and attentive staff makes for an enjoyable experience all round

A lovely place to share good wine & food with friends. As you can see from the photos the interior evokes the feeling of an ‘olde’ time coach house, with wooden floors and all sorts of knick knacks decorating the walls. The wine selection is fantastic and the staff are delightful, they really make you feel welcome and cared for. The menu has a nice selection of dishes and while not cheap the food is excellent and I think worth the prices. I like the sharing platters for a casual meal with a few mates. I especially like The Cooperage downstairs, with low lighting and a cozy feel(although quite big) it is very easy to indulge in some delectible wines on a cold winter’s night.

This place is super nice, but super expensive. There are a few elements to Davsy: a wine shop, a wine bar, a basement cocktail bar and a restaurant. There’s a large outside area where you can enjoy your expensive wine and people watch. I’ve never eaten here but the food looks good. They host wine and cheese tasting nights, I haven’t attended yet but it’s on my list.

No air conditioning! Will venues in London ever get that sorted?! Davy’s is good to meet someone at and then move on — quickly. The staff here are pleasant but that’s still not enough to make this your go to place.

I had dinner here with a group of people and It was one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had in England period. Our waiter was extremely helpful with wine selections and he helped create an overall relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for me and my friends. We stayed and drank for several hours because we were having so much fun! The food was great! I can’t wait to go back! I better start saving now though haha… its a bit expensive.

Went there on 22nd Feb as pass it each day to get to DLR. We sat at our table to eat at 7pm, no one else there. Service very slow, in fact cleaning forks was the main area the staff were working on and customer service came second. A group of 4 came in about 7.20(we hadn’t had our starters yet) and stood there for 2 mins before one of them went off to find someone to seat them. Very small portions and awful smell of damp in the restaurant backed up with small flies around our table all night. So wanted to like this place as it has olde world décor but by 8.30 and only seven in the dining area alarm bells should be ringing. Meal for two with glass of house wine £64.00. The cheese board for dessert took ten mins to arrive btw. First and last visit.

I have no idea why I haven’t been here before. In fact, I think I know it’s because you have to turn right out of Greenwich train station to get there, rather than left towards the centre. Went here for the first time last night and had a lovely evening, sipping bubbles and filling our tummies with three delicious courses of food scallops, chowder and plum tarte tatin for me. Staff dressed in smart, white aprons were extremely friendly and we were given a lovely table in a private-ish booth, with my name on the reserved sign. The venue has a lot of history, and Davy’s has existed as a wine merchant’s in this location for nearly 250 years. It’s all woody, rustic and cosy, with lots of nooks and crannies and interesting historical artefacts. All very lovely and I’ll most certainly be going back. Oh, and if you don’t fancy a proper meal you can just kick back in the bar next door instead.

This was my first visit here, suitably impressed, good friendly service, pleasant surroundings good choice of wine and reasonably priced. I went for two courses offer for £15.25, hot smoked salmon with golden beetroot to start followed by pan fried sea bass on crushed potatoes and beans accompanied by a nice glass of Tempranillo, an option of a 250ml glass would be nice! A good place to get away from the tourists. Good service, decent food and wine and they usually have guest real ale. Free wireless as well

A good lunchtime venue which also seems to cater for functions. The food is very good although we only partook of the nibbles. The wine was good too.

A little off the well-trodden Greenwich pub crawl path this is a characterful little wine bar that deserves to be more popular. Good wine selection. Don’t bother with the food though. When I visited the food was very much ‘pub food’ at restaurant prices

This seems to one of Greenwiches forgotton pubs — everytime I go there are always plenty of seats to be had. This should be taken as no reflection on the pubs quality. Some may not like the stone floor and straw but for me it adds a bit of character to the place. A good selection of drinks and there are also little snacks to be had for a reasonable price.
