They do fresh lamingtons here! Just what an Aussie needs if they’re hankering for a taste of home in south London. Coffee is good too and the tables outside get the afternoon sun. Away from the highstreet so the street isn’t full of noisy, fumey traffic.
Rashed I.

Dee Light is a relatively new bakery(having opened last December) set next to the French café on Ritherdon road. A great selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches can be found here. It’s also family friendly, on my visit it appeared almost full of Balhams ‘yummy mummy’s’, with plenty of of high chairs, fruit shoots, and a kid friendly menu(i.e cakes), it’s easy to see why . My toasted chicken, mozzarella and pesto salad panini was nice, although fairly short on the chicken; the bread itself was also a little too greasy(as a result of being toasted with too much oil or butter). However all was not lost, I followed this with a freshly baked brownie, yum! Would certainly return to sample more of their desserts. My only gripe on the sunny day I visited was the limited seating outdoors compared to the French café. Other than that no complaints!
