Be careful not to miss this place as it is actually above the entrance to Pop Brixton — on entering if you don’t turn around you won’t see it and it is one not to be missed! This tapas place has a little upstairs outdoor seating(lovely for a summers day however when I was there it was waaaaay too cold) which provides a great view of the rest of Pop Brixton down below as well as inside where there is long wooden bar with stools where you are seated and served from behind the bar. The place has a cool vibe and an amazing looking menu! I only tried a taster given our during an event — a huge creamy wedge of goats cheese, a little leaf with a strawberry and balsamic glaze on top — which was really really good and will mean I definitely return for a proper meal. The menu ranges from £3.50(for a scallop) to £7.50(lamb rump) and everything sounds incredible. What a great find!

Service — 4⁄5 — This is slightly different place in POP Brixton and rather than being a stall, it has a nice food bar where you can sit inside and enjoy a more formal meal. However, they also offer takeaway if you just wanted to grab something small. I walked in and was welcomed by a nice guy, ordered and he advised it would literally only be a three-ish minutes. I ended up sitting there over 10 minutes. I wouldn’t have minded if I was actually told 10 minutes, as I would’ve gone back downstairs and come back up later on. Food — 4⁄5 — I went for their special of the week, spicy chicken wings. The sauce was really nice and had a great kick. However, I’m not sure why, it felt a little powdery. Chicken was perfectly cooked and was still nice and juicy. Would need come back to try the other dishes available. Would I recommend — Yes Would I come back — Yes Visit — 20/04/2016(Evening)

I love Spanish food! There is something just magical about sipping wine and grazing after a long day at the office. The Donostia Social Club, hidden in the POP Brixton Container complex, is a lovely homely little venue that serves great tapas(although definitely not at the prices you’ll get in Spain), that is pretty authentic — even down to the little squat bread sticks you get with everything in Spain. It’s a very intimate restaurant, although there is limited outdoor seating if you’re claustrophobic, but I love what they’ve done with the place. The white tile wall reminds me of restaurants I’ve visited in Spain, although the tiles are much bigger, so it’s an interesting English take on this. The Patatas Bravas are particularly lovely and come with salt flakes, chilli and tomato sauce. The meat platter is nice,(It was okay for the UK, but nothing like the standard you’d get in Spain) but the bread is a little too thick cut, it really needs to be thinner, it’s hard to take a bite, so I’d suggest if you order this you ask for them to thinly cut this. Absolutely yummy!

Best seating in Pop Brixton. Generally I get several beverages and a plate of spanish ham and capers or cheese platter. Price is reasonable and flavour of food and service also good. Would definitely visit again. Seating is a bit limited and it is tight as the restaurant is inside a shipping container but the ambience is good
