Dwell sells nice things for your house. I would quite like to ‘live like this’, as their adverts say. I have bought the odd trinket, and a second hand coffee table on gumtree, but after endless searching, it turns out our perfect sofas were right under our nose at Dwell. So we bought them.
Don’t get me wrong, the sofas are great. Sturdy, and with washable covers (ideal if your dog is as fond of both mud and sofas as ours). The salt and pepper shakers were a good present. The coffee table looks nice.
However, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. First there was a mix up with a clcok which went from having a 2 week lead-​in time (less than the sofas) to a 16 week lead in time… at which point i was told they ‘didn’t know’ whether the sofas would be delayed until the clock arrived… strike 1. I cancel the clock.
Day of delivery for sofas arrives, with its irritating ‘7am till 2pm’ time slot for delivery. At 2pm, I get a phone call to say they are running an hour late. Irate, I ask them at what point they knew they were going to be late, and why they didn’t call to tell me then. I get an incoherent answer from a non-​apologetic driver, who just wasted most of my day. The sofas arrive at 4pm.
Strike 2, although I complain and begrudgingly get a refund of the hefty £39 delivery fee.
Like I said, the products are nice, but one more strike…

The products are well made, well priced and contemporary in their style. Although you aren’t going to find the best quality products here, they do far exceed expectations based on their price tags. They sell everything from beds and sofas to a small selection of tableware and accessories for your home. It’s one of those places that inspires you to buy accents for your house – throw pillows, magnetic boards and even fashion globes. I mean, who doesn’t need a globe?
It’s also worth saying that the service you receive is quite spectacular for a moderately priced shop. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful but in no way pushy. I must have asked them to look up a dozen things before only buying three throw pillows. And then to top it all off, my boyfriend really wanted to know what CD they were playing – the guys even went to the trouble to take the disk out and write down the name of the disc for us.

Dwell sells all sorts of quite stylish, modern furniture and accessories ranging from chairs, tables, shelving, beds, lighting, what have you.
Everything is also relatively affordable.
They sell beds with a lifting mattress base with masses of storage underneath, great for small London flats. At the moment they are doing a deal for it fir was £370 from was £525. But for a large double bed, the original price isn’t bad at all.
They have a good selection of mostly angular sofas, which are simple in design but decently made and comfortable.
