The venue is quite strange at first. It was an odd opening with a dirty red carpet that we walked through to get to the Old Dalston Market. Once I got inside, the place looked much nicer and I had a great time wandering around. There is a nice area for food and drinks and the space is kind of big.

I think the picture says it all — I can’t quite believe that I travelled all the way for an arty flea market. Quite relieved it was indoors but the ambience was just very tired, like a sad Sunday market at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. And presumably the daytime market is just a way of filling the space in between music events — just hope the atmosphere is a bit more upbeat then.
