I can only echo Carolina G’s sentiment in her FTR review. Fair Share is a small shop on the stretch of Berwick Street where the market is to be found. As the name suggests, all the products in this shop are certified as FairTrade, a practical scheme to try and make sure that the producers of these goods get a fair price for their products. The range of goods is expanding all the time and the prices are still reasonable They do carry a variety of products from food to bags. I’ve tried their Divine range of chocolate and also bought a few gifts. There are some novel and cute wooden animals from India which serve as rests for spectacles, which are quite unique Feelgood shopping. What more could you want?

Évaluation du lieu : 5 London, United Kingdom
Fair share doesn’t get the five stars because of the variety of products they have, it doesn’t get the five stars because of its customer service(which is not bad anyway), it gets them because of intent. They intend to get the Fair Trade message across. Seriously, the premisses are not amazing but their products are Fair Trade certified. This means that they ensure a better deal for the small scale third world producers, it is a subject very close to home so I really admire their commitment and intent. It ensures a fair and stable price for farmers, extra income for their livelihoods, greater respect for the environment, and a closer connection between consumer and producers. I don’t want to go on and on about the ethical stance behind my rating(because I could) I’ll just say that some of the products you will find are green tea, infusions, drinking chocolate, cookies, Peruvian crafts, handbags, calendars, second hand bits and bobs, throws, stationary and a small selection of toys. This shop is about consuming with a conscience, something that in my book always gets the stars.
