My fiancée and I stopped in here back in July while looking for a quick breakfast near our hotel. The staff were very kind and our drinks were quite good(fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee). We both got chocolate croissants and they were excellent — perfectly light and flaky and the chocolate was very yummy. The only real downside was the lack of air conditioning, but it seems that most of London doesn’t care for air conditioning as much as us Americans. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area!

I’ve had a reasonable hummous wrap here a couple of times but each time, I’ve been more or less shouted at by one of the servers. I felt like I was doing them a favour by ordering there. I’m going to look around elsewhere next time it just isn’t that pleasant an experience

Everything on the menu sounded really good– there’s a kind of Middle Eastern vibe, but it’s a mish-mash of everything. The food was a little disappointing though. It’s fine to stop by if you need to grab something fast on your way home, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.

This is a little-bit-of everything kind of lunch place. Walk in and you’ll see the traditional sandwich counter common at the UK lunch places and an extensive menu of sandwiches and standard menu items. Then there is a section of the counter with specials – quiche of the day, frittata of the day, lasagnas, curry dishes, a Moroccan-style burrito, etc. The place definitely has a middle-eastern influence. In the back are a bunch of tables where they will serve you up lunch. The food is decent, cheap(4.50 for quiche with a side salad) and the tables make it a civilized place to have lunch with a colleague or friend. The service is friendly and engaging – a nice change. Just really wish the food had been mind-blowing fantastic…

The Food Bazaar is an absolute gem. They do a lovely(large) cappuchino for only £1.10 and a whole load of breakfast options. My favourites are the pastries they bake fresh on the premises. The pain au raisin has to be tried, it’s delicious. You’ll be very fat but very happy. For lunches they do the usual sandwiches, baps, spuds etc but they also have specials every day which can be lasagne, cottage pie, frittatas, pasta dishes, you name it basically. There is a decent sized area if you want to eat in, but be warned, the portions are very generous so you might want to wear something with an elastic waist.
