This is a serious framers and the place to go if you have an item that isn’t standard dimensions, or if you want a bespoke frame that’s a bit different from the usual off-the-shelf offerings. There is a huge range of options, different frame styles, sizes and colours and ditto for the mounts. If you don’t have a fixed idea of what you want, and even if you do, the staff come across as experienced and knowledgable about what might work, and therefore are good at making suggestions. I would recommend allowing yourself to be guided by their advice. They’re happy to spend a fair bit of time with you comparing various looks and the many samples give you a good indication of what your finished product will look like. It seems to be a fairly popular place with a steady flow of customers on a Saturday when I’ve been there. Whilst waiting to be served there are plenty of interesting items hanging on the wall to gaze at(from a signed copy of the Good Friday Agreement to a framed T-shirt commemorating the last match at Highbury Stadium), some of which are for sale. You can peer through to the workshop where the framing presumably gets done, or just have a subtle nosey at what other customers are collecting or unrolling on the counter for framing. I’ve taken two large maps here to be framed previously and been very happy with the finished result. I’ve just taken two smaller items in to be framed and as before, was impressed with the professional service, which instils confidence, and I’m eagerly anticipating collection in a week’s time.
