Don’t get irritated by the location of this amazing two-story rooftop bar. It’s kinda hidden in a doggy area but once you’re in you find a fancy looking bar with a dancefloor and a very nice rooftop. Hint: table reservation needed, if you don’t want to wait to get to the top. We just had to wait 20 minutes though to access the rooftop after all. Drinks were great, especially the Pornstar Martini!

Went here with a group of friends for my birthday. Didnt get to use the terrace as there was apparently«a long waiting list».! Reserved another area with no problem, friendly staff, lovely décor. Really good music from the DJ. Overall really nice little bar/club but gets absolutely RAMMED. We had to leave as it got so hot, but it was during summer. Nice outside area and good crowd.

Cool place with an great outside rooftop bar! The prices were pretty reasonable considering we were on the roof. There was also a big open fire pit there as well which helped once the sun went down. Really had a great time. Also, I went with one other dude and somehow we made it past both clipboard people, one at the front door and the other at the roof access. I think getting there early helped with this. Only complaint was they kicked us off the couch when people with reservations came… who reserves a couch?

Great location! You would never know it was there unless you decided to venture into the little guarded door with a bee above it. I’ve been here twice now so feel like I can make a fairly unbiased judgement and that would be this place is great! Accommodating staff, reasonably priced drinks and excellent view and ambience. I would definitely recommend booking an area on the rooftop as it tends to get busy at all times, every evening. Happy hour between 4−6pm as well if you can manage to escape work this early. The rooftop closes at 11pm so you’ll be shifted down into the lower floor bar and dance floor which is also very sophisticated and spacious.

The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem! You wouldn’t know by looking at the entrance. What can I say — great chill out area on the roof, fast bar service, great range of drinks. Prices were OK. Its a good choice if you’re looking for something in the area. You do need to book for the roof though!

So, another promise of amazing rooftop bar-ness letdown. Guys, please tell me in advance if you need to book to be on the roof(how ridic). I’ve seen bigger smoking cages than that pathetic«roof» you put us plebs on. The drinks were ok, the crowd… decidedly essex. It was fine, but I won’t personally choose to go there again.

I was psyched by the great reviews of this place and looked fwd to a night out here. Unfortunately it was a poor experience(not wholly due to the bar, but partly so). I ordered a Pimms and then was charged more than the menu price(because fruit costs extra(!) I wouldn’t have minded this if I’d been told, so I actually felt like it was a bit sneaky! They also have a minimum spend of £15 on a card which feels a bit much(as then you have to commit to more drinks — and as my friends unfortunately changed the venue due to doorman problems here, I had to leave asap). Not having enough cash on me was deffo my mistake but you’d expect a little sympathy for someone who has to leave asap, and has no way of paying. I ended up charming a fellow drinker to buy a beer on my tab, or something equally ridiculous. I was a bit wobbly and embarrassed at this point. The sneery waitress means I deffo won’t return… :(

I went here for a friends birthday and liked it a lot. Its a good venue for a party, the music is good, and the drinks are not too pricey– thank god! Its quite hidden and I had never heard of it, which I think is a good sign! They have a little smoking area which was a nice break from the bar.

I like Golden Bee! It has nice music, lovely décor and isn’t a huge mega club you get lost in and can’t find your friends. Inside bits for sitting, outside bits for cooling off, good music and good drinks. Golden!

Awesome(relatively) new roof top bar in Shoreditch, it opened end of June this year. There is an inside bar too — really cool décor and staff, friendly bouncers too! The roof top bar goes up over 3 levels — 3rd level being the biggest — it also has an outside bar and bbq area. Great use of space overall. Get’s busy — naturally, but a really nice crowd, good music & good drinks too. Tip: if you are drinking beers, it’s worth getting them from the inside bar — there was a quite a queue at the outside bar — lots of cocktails being made! Great addition to the area! Recommend for sure!

Swish new bar seconds from Old Street station with a fair amount of potential. A pretty well-hidden doorway on Singer St, leads up to a spacious indoor bar on the first floor, as well as a funky outdoor space, then a sneaky spiral staircase up to their roof terrace, which is where all the action is(admittedly because it was 6pm and the lower bar was closed). The roof terrace is modern and swanky — if it’s a sunny day and if you have your back to the view of the grim Old Street housing estates it’s actually pretty impressive. They also have a TV screen(showing wimbledon at the time), and some yummy-smelling burgers going on the BBQ. The bar staff and bouncers were a happy friendly bunch, however the atmosphere was a little dodgy as the whole floor was filled with two groups a rugby lads’ night out and a gaggle of super-tanned only way is essex style lasses. And little old me in the middle! This may not be the usual thing, but it is also right around the corner from a rowdy hen-party club. My £8 mojito was fresh and well-made but it wasn’t £8-mindblowing. If there was a happy hour I’d have spent a lot longer there, but that’s coming from a cheapskate. Overall I’d recommend it though and will be up for a return visit.
