Nice little surburban square good for the locals, with fairly well maintained hedges, bordered on two sides by blocks of flats and two sides by roads, and across one road by one of those big art deco factories from the days when people made an effort with their industrial architecture. One of those places you pass through on the way somewhere else.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 London, United Kingdom
Gordon Square is another of the Bloomsbury squares. It is quite big, large enough for a game of five a side at the back end. When I first came to London it was really pretty, a lot of care and detail had been invested in the place and it looked like Tom’s Midnight Garden or something. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, presumably as the result of some asinine council directive, the place was re-landscaped into its current form. It is a pleasant enough place with large grass lawns, benches, and a concession stand. However, now, it is just like all the other squares and lacks any character of its own. Due to its location it is popular with students, particularly during summer when people come to take a break from revision at one of the nearby libraries. A pleasant enough place, unfortunately it used to be something better.
