One of the best place I’ve ever seen in my life. The chef is really amazing and stuff are superb! I really think that’s one of my favourite place. Amazing!

I think people should know what they’re getting when they come here. This is basically just a place where moms come to bring their babies and hang out. It’s loud and chaotic, which we were fine with the first time we visited. We just sat outside in the back where it was fairly quiet. Then we went a second time and ordered porridge with fruit compote. I have never eaten such bad porridge in my life, I didn’t even know it was possible to make it so terribly. My husband and I both found it inedible, and he’ll eat just about anything. We returned it and asked for something in it’s place. I was afraid to eat any other food that was cooked by the same person who made the porridge so just ordered some brown toast. It was white bread that was colored with molasses, the cheap kind you get from the supermarket, and pre-buttered which I didn’t want. Essentially, we ended up paying £9 for bad toast. They should have offered us a refund or free coffee or something, but nothing was done. I gave it two stars instead of one because the staff is friendly, albeit they could do more to make sure the customers are satisfied. We will never return, and unless you want to hang out with a room full of babies and toddlers while eating subpar food, I’d suggest you look elsewhere too.

I remember thinking that this place used to be quite good. However a few years later(and a constant stream of new staff) have made this place go downhill. The coffee prices have also shot up. Even a cup of tea here is very expensive and the food is so so. Nothing to shout about. At times the opening hours can be a little erratic without advanced notice i. e being closed in the middle of the day. That is probably why i have stopped coming here. There is free wifi(one of the first few to offer this service in the area), but the last time I went to use it, the staff said their wifi was not working. Positives: on a summer’s day it is quite nice to sit in the courtyard at the back, though you can see right into the kitchen/washing up area. Also there is a good selection of salads. generally I would say the cleanliness could be improved, and the prices should be more competitive. There should be more diversity in the food especially for takeaways(sandwiches etc). This place is unfortunately nothing special and could do with a total revamp.

I love this place because they don’t make you feel like a leper if you bring young children — in fact, they’re positively catered for. Plenty of Ikea Antilop high chairs(which were grubby, so you may want to request a wipe down before using) and food suitable for babies, toddlers and older children. As an adult(!) I have been very impressed with the two meals I have eaten here: a full English breakfast and a burger. Both were generously proportioned and delicious. The coffee was only«ok». Food is simple and hearty fare and I think brunch is the best time to visit. There are tables and chairs in the yard out the back for when the weather is warmer. Be warned, this place is rammed and overrun with families at the weekend, but as a young family, that’s why we like it!

Yummy yummy yummy, I’ve got beans in my tummy! A friend of mine recently took me here for lunch. It’s only 10 mins away from my workplace, but as it’s hidden away in a residential street, I never would have found it myself. The café itself is so chilled and welcoming — very light and airy, spacious inside with wooden floors, and lots of outdoor seating out front and also out back. There seemed to be an abundance of yummy mummies, but not in an annoying way. There is a section of the café dedicated to those with children, where there are lots of toys to play with, and books to read. The food all sounded delicious, but in the end I opted for the mixed salad plate, because I’m a sucker for fresh, healthy, lentil/bulgar/bean based dishes! The plate I got cost around £7, but it was HUGE, literally piled high with lentil salad, bulgar wheat salad, green bean salad, pan seared potatoes, pea salad etc etc. I only managed to eat half of it, and took the other half home in a box, which I ate for dinner. So in this kind of situation I look upon it as a £3.50 lunch and a £3.50 dinner, which is not bad! Otherwise, the prices are just those couple of extra pounds dearer than I want them to be. My friend got a delicious looking and very well-presented omelette, and I have it on good authority that the burgers are burgerlicious and like a little bite of heaven… They also make a good cup of coffee! There is a real community feel to this place, and the adjoining boutique(owned by the same people) is so shiny and mesmerizing… I could easily get sidetracked and end up spending my lunch money on purses and jewellery and random quirky things instead. I will definitely be back here, but if the prices were just a little lower, I would probably be back more often.

I forgot all about this café until a friend mentioned Graceland — the King’s Graceland — the other day. No, this is not Elvis’ UK outpost, although there is the odd framed photo and the logo itself is in keeping with all things Americana. The main reason you’d come here is for the great food and the sense of community, and I mean that in the best way possible. I was here in the summer when the terrace was teaming with people(and of course young families) but it almost felt like we’d been invited to a private house party. There were couches and lots of activities for kids to get stuck into whilst you eat your food. And the food! Salads, quiches and cakes galore, every type of tea under the sun and all out a very reasonable price. You could sit in here all day long, read a book from one of their collection, and the staff wouldn’t mind a bit. They also hold summer fairs, selling local artist’s work, so if you’re in the area I highly recommend you go and check it out!

With delicious food such as cakes and salads, the place has a real community feel. Everyone goes there-from workers with laptops(though who knows how they concentrate with the volume levels) to yummy mummy’s with children. It’s a lovely, unpretentious place to go for a cup of tea and a chat and Gracelands Yard is beautiful.

I came here for breakfast once and had a lovely time. You’d expect it to be hectic because of the mixture of screaming toddlers and people huddled over their wi-fi connections but it’s actually suprisingly relaxed and pleasant. The food was lovely, the English Breakfast perfectly cooked and the coffee just right. It’s a real asset to the area.

Was pleasantly surprised when I went here as it is known for being family and baby friendly so accomodated children even has a play area, expected food to be overpriced and not very exciting, the food is excellent, they make an array of salads daily which is displayed, couscous, chickpeas, lentils, goats cheese, butternut to name a few, freshly made quiches, breakfasts, sandwhiches, homemade cakes, for a selection of salads on a plate it starts at £4.50 sandwiches £3.00, organic drinks, and coffees, high chairs so you can feed your babies , This place is always buzzing and you don’t have to feel awkward as you struggle to get through the door with your baby buggy! THey also have a place in the back called Gracelands Yard which has therpists offering acupunture, homepathy and activites such as massage and music classes are also held here for kids. Its a great place to meet if you have babies or children and a great place to grab a sunday morning breakfast and read the paper
