I frequent this place for lunch mainly because the name appeals to my oddball sense of humour. Tucked in a small arcade by Liverpool Street, the Hard Wok Café can be easily missed. The food is reasonably priced compared with all the other City Boy joints in the area, my favourite Chicken Fried Rice costs £4.25. One of the guys in work swears by their Curries as the cure to the common cold. It doesn’t get much better than that.

The Hard Wok Café, existing as an Asian parallel to the Hard Rock Café, is a tiny lunch-only eatery found off Liverpool Street. I had alot of choices available to decide where to eat my food and eventually, I decided upon this place. My reasoning was simple and, as usual, relates to saving money. This place offers cooked meals at the same prices and rates as say, a subway baguette or a deli sandwich. The place itself, in The Parade, is tiny, and there are a few seats in and outside the shop. I take a seat outside and order my grub, Thai Style Noodles with Chicken. At only £4.25, a killing. I duly slurped it all up, feeling warmed from the inside out. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed a good, English conversation about how bad the weather is and this, that and the other. Complaining is our #1 pasttime afterall! Come to this place and order some food you fools. it deserves a shop about twenty times bigger then it actually is.
