Very strong coffee here. Beautiful interior good for hanging out with mates. They have good coffee basically, and it’s nice to sit at the window side and watch the world go by here. Nice baristas.

I like my bars and coffeeshops with a buzz factor, and the Grind franchise perhaps has the best collection in London. Part of the Hoxton Holborn Hotel complex, it’s helped add a much– needed dose of cool into this rather lifeless downtown area. Love that you can get coffee during the day and drink smart cocktails by night. I’ve been to this location twice: The music is eclectic and on-point for the most part, but not without its kinks– one evening you can hear avant-garde jazz blaring through the speakers to where you can hear your own thoughts, or hear a a throwback hip-hop track played at a pleasant volume. Service is courteous though knowledgeability of the menu can be inconsistent. I’m not a coffee drinker but I’ve enjoyed their dessert treats in the evening. They need to do a better job of getting rid of those pesky flies that hover around the fruits and desserts at the counter(including my plate of muffin crumbs in front of me). Other than that, makes for a good overflow spot from the Hoxton Holborn Hotel lobby lounge, one of my favorite chill-out spots in London.

Baby sibling of the Hoxton Hotel’s Holborn branch this coffee shop cum evening bar is the, slightly, cheaper more fun option. I’ve had the coffee once on the Grind’s first birthday and it was good. But also free. So was always going to be good, honestly. As a bar the place is super tiny. Like super. But there are some bar stools around the edge so if you’re eagle eyed you might grab a spot. It was also super warm when we were in there though. Uncomfortably so. It’s a confusing mix of table service and bar — particularly when it came to paying so I can only assume they’ve learnt that trick from their elder sibling. Drinks are pricey(another thing learnt from their elders) but not too extortionate. This is next to my office so I imagine I’ll return at some point — if nothing else I can get there quickly enough to snag a table!

The avocado toast with poached eggs though… SOGOOD. This place has a great vibe, great coffee/food, and great service. I posted up at one of the bar spots along the window, plugged in(there aren’t outlets everywhere, but if you get one of the corner spots you should be able to get one), listened to the GREAT music and spent a few hours of the morning working from this ideal café.

A nice coffee spot that serves up a quick cup or two, with a friendly smile. The coffee itself is good, but doesn’t stand out as one of my favourites.(Visit — 31/07/2015 Morning)

Holborn Grind is a beautiful and buzzing coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere, lovely staff and good music. They do great coffee, and have tasty wine as well! It was on a reasonably nice Sunday in June, when I decided to check out Holborn Grind. I already knew some of the other Grind branches, but had never made it to the Holborn shop. Holborn Grind is a small, beautiful coffee place. However, they do more than just coffee. By sheer accident, I ended up with a glass of delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa. In hindsight, it was luck that I got a red wine instead of a flat white, because I really enjoyed the wine together with the nice chocolate of the Millionaire’s Shortbread. When the very friendly and funny barista brought over the wine, I was surprised, as I had not intended to drink wine that Sunday afternoon. We quickly sorted this out, and I added a flat white to my order, without cancelling the wine, obviously. The flat white also tasted good. Hanging around a bit longer, I also asked for an orange juice. It tasted nice, but was not as fresh, as it could have been. Finally, I also tried the salted caramel brownie, a pretty dense and strong piece of chocolate. I preferred the shortbread as a slightly lighter option. I really enjoyed spending an afternoon at Holborn Grind, reading and watching the world around me. The place has a pleasant atmosphere and they play surprisingly good and fun music. The barista was also charming and helpful. Holborn Grind, next to a trendy hotel, also feels like a prime people watching spot — tourists, students and even quite a few hipsters who are perhaps misled by the name of the hotel next door and think they are in Hoxton…

Great staff, simple yet delicious breakfast menu and well made coffee. They also spin some foot tapping tunes. I’m definitely going back!

Its hard for me to judge a coffee shop when i don’t drink coffee. its a really lovely place to look at and the staff are all very friendly, but i cant help feel that my hot Chocolate was definitely over priced for the quantity(ie a very small cup) for £3 ish take out. I’m left a little diappointed by this… but there were loads of coffee options. so do go try them yourselves

It was a Bank Holiday, and that may explain why it did not look busy. I am pretty sure that it’s absolutely packed on working days given its location… And the quality of coffee! I had an iced coffee and it was great. I love coffee so when there are small touches, I can instantly feel that and that was the case. The place is lovely, the barista was very nice with us and the background music was super nice. I had a great time, for not much money… So this is a great deal if you happen to be in Holborn. Give it a shot, and let me know what you think! :)

I had had Grind coffee at the London Bridge location and hadn’t liked it much so I decided it was late enough for cocktails! That was definitely a good idea because both drinks we ordered were amazing. Original, interesting flavours. I can’t remember what the names were but one was definitely some take on a whiskey sour. Both orange in colour and very quickly emptied. As at every Grind, the interior is cool and modern. The staff is very friendly too. There are no big tables though, so if you’re meeting with a bunch of people, I suggest the Hoxton Hotel next door.

Daytime scene: iced coffee and brownies ONPOINT Afternoon switch up: NITROCOFFEEONTAP Nighttime scene: coffee-based cocktails(ERMAGHERD, a flat white Russian?). A little scene-y, but you’ll get over it. Unilocal note: pretty small space for working; you can hit it lucky but other times TOOBUSYTOOCROWDED

One of my top 5 places for coffee in London. I have not tried their food, but have heard good things. However, I always get takeaway as it is a pretty noisy spot and hard to get a seat. Very similar vibe to Shoreditch & Soho Grind.

Coffee was good, but not the best I’ve had. I tried a cappuccino, which I normally don’t have, so I’ll come back for a soy latte soon. Also got the smashed avocado on toast which was good but not the best either haha. Maybe I’ll take the feta out next time. I liked this place though! Great vibe and atmosphere and it’s great for people watching and the world going by.

Found Holborn Grind after the restaurant I was in had run out of coffee(serious minus points in the Rebecca play book) and Holborn Grind’s sign was a welcome sight in the rain. The interior is fantastic, exposed brickwork and neon art(the classy kind) and funky lighting. And the coffee. There were some amazing looking cocktails, which this dry January-er sadly passed on, and so I settled on a flat white. Since visiting New Zealand in September I’ve been searching for a good flat white, and my journey has come to an end! Delicious! Thoroughly recommended.

Cute coffee shop by day and cocktail bar by night! It’s located right next to the Hoxton Holborn Hotel, but not sure if they’re considered part of the hotel since it’s not connected or anything. Anywho, came here for a quick coffee and pastry and have no complaints. Your drink is made to order so it will take a couple of minutes but it’s worth it! I ordered a long black which is essentially an Americano and it was a strong start to my morning haha. They also have a variety of pastries available and a couple of food options on the breakfast menu like smoked salmon & avocado on toast. All in all, cute coffee shop for a quick sit down breakfast or just for a take away. Really convenient right near the Holborn tube station too! Now I’ll just have to try their cocktails one of these days… haha
